    Hi guys,
Is there a way to disable the sensor light in the dashboard? I am considering running my new summer wheels without TPMS. I am told there may be a trick with the programming button in the dash board.

I've got a 5/8" round piece of black electrical tape that I put on during the winter and remove in spring when summer tires go back on. Works perfect and involves no wiring. :)

Try your summer tires - put them on. Follow the procedure for when you rotate the tires. There's a button down in front of your left knee push that in for 10 seconds (its in the manual) ...

    Here's the trick:
take truck for a ride you need to get up over 70mph... the display should now show your tire pressures.
The manual says you need to drive at highway speed for 10 minutes .. above 70 for a short time was all I needed.

You may need to tell the computer you have new different sensors - they need to be programmed in before the procedure above if they are different sensors. I had the dealer do it for me (not free) most any tire shop will do this for you, just get them to mount your summer wheels/tires I bet they program them for free or next to it (dealer charged me $100) .. ouch and I had to figure out the drive over 70 thing myself after bitching that I paid $100 and the tpms still didn't work! AND that was after they DIDN"T change my oil or lube my truck when I went in for service and asked them to specifically do the oil and lube!

You can imagine the phone conversation with the service mgr when I got home and didn't have anything done that I took my truck in for service for. MGR: "that's not covered for the 5K service" .... ME: "Write this down - every 5K you lube and change my oil, did put that in my permanent file written in? I will pay if I have to" MGR: "yes sir"
