    Good afternoon homies,
Here’s another question about the XRunner rims. Does anyone know if I can use the tire pressure sensors from my steel wheels on the X-Runner rims. Or do I have to buy new sensors?

Some have posted that the steel wheel sensors may have enough clearance in the alloy rims if they are rotated 180 degrees. Otherwise, just go with the sensors recommended for the alloy rims.

I don't think they will interchange. New sensors are cheap enough and it looks like you are driving a 2012. They are past due to die anyway.

I've been buying new sensors from Amazon. The price fluctuates but $15-$20 each is the price range I see. Any tire installer will install the new ones at no extra cost when mounting new tires.

I think I'm lucky that I have had the TPMS sensors in my 2007 last until last year. Debating on replacing them, or just unplugging the TPMS module.

Where do you unplug the module?

It's in the headliner, above the module with the map lights. I think the link was on my old Linux OS that recently died, so I don't see it right now, I'll regoggle it.

I never thought I would warm up to the TPMS. I figured it was just one more thing to repair/replace on newer cars. But it sure comes in handy when off-roading since you air down. I can keep an eye on the tire pressure and make sure I'm not losing any pressure in a tire while on the trail. Yes, I know...I can always get out and look, but it sure is convenient and keeps your mind on more important things...like not bashing up your truck! ;)

I agree, but... Only to a point.

Replacing them all with OEM parts is really expensive, $200 a sensor is stupid. Personally, I'm not sure I would trust Amazon/TEMU/Wish.com sensors. Plus, I can't reprogram them myself, so I think I might just unplug the module and forget about it.

Yeah, agreed! I wouldn't trust those sketchy Amazon/eBay etc items. I was just commenting on their overall usefulness and how surprised I was after having a truck with them on.
