    Hello TW,

I just purchased a set of SCS SR8's 16's (5) in Dark Bronze, and have a set of 255 85 R16 Cooper ST Maxxx's on order to go with them. My plan is to take off my stock tires/ rims and to run these new ones April through Nov than back to the factory set for winter. That said I would just assume leave the TMPS sensors in the factory tires.

Does anyone know of a good reliable set (tons on Ebay and Amazon) that will work for these new wheels? I am a little Leary of buying some piece of Chinese shit that won't work right, but I am in no way planning on spending what Toyota wants for the OEM ones. I'd rather have the dash light on. This is for a 2017 OFF ROAD.

Also do they come programed or will I need them done (at the tire place or does Toyota have to do it)?

Thank you all in advice for your help.

Any links you can provide to purchase these for a reasonable rate is appreciated.

    -YOTA

Go OEM. It's not worth the headaches to save a few bucks.

Anyone have a source for OEM sensors that aren’t like $100/ each???

I got mine off of tirerack.com, 60$ a peice I think. Haven't installed them yet, as my wheels are enroute but they have the same part number as the OEM type.

Here you go. There are two sensors. one for the Steel wheels and one for the alloys. Make sure to check for the correct part number.

Bam Wholesale parts .com. I've used them before and they're good to go. There are others too. Around 60.00 each.

Oem ones were $60 canadian each when i bought. They also sell the clonable ones, which were a little cheaper, and will eliminate the need to reprogram if you have two sets of tires. It did not work for me but you may have better luck. Toyota replaced them for oem free of charge since i bought the clonable ones off them. If you dont have plans to have two sets, id just just take the originals and use em

Alloy TPMS work, not steel wheel without being rotated. Tacoma part number is same as Camry, PMV-C015 I believe. They will need to be programmed, yes. I bought mine off eBay from a Junkyard in FL.

Just put some in my Stealth 6s in case I wanted my OG tires on for whatever reason..

So you only need new sensors if you are planning on running two sets of tires/wheels?

Otherwise you just pull the old ones off and put them on the new wheels, no calibration needed?

Yep. I think the write up I used was off the tundra forum. But I drew from a bunch of different spots....

I bought new TPMS sensors off Gunny and left my originals in my stock tires/wheels, in case I sell them - should be easier to do.

The only PITA part was that the new sensors don't come with the sleeve nuts to install them. Dealer wanted a crazy $15 each for them. Took the sensors to Advance Auto - they hooked me up with ones for $1.99 each.
