This might be a dumb question but whatever.

I have a 2019 Tacoma SR and I installed 2006 Tacoma wheels but they didn’t have any tpms sensors.

Do I need to buy 2019 or 2006 tpms sensors ?

You need them for your 2019 Tacoma, they don’t care what wheels they are in as long as they fit

And welcome to the forum. “Dumb” questions are the only ones allowed. What wheels did you get

2nd gen sensors do not work in 3rd gen trucks, been there twice.

If the wheels are of the same material, swap 3rd gen sensors over to the 2nd gen wheels.
If not or you don't want to swap 'em, buy 4 new sensors that are cloneable, Autel 315MX, copy the four 3rd gen OEM sensor ID# then load them into the new clone sensors. No programming of the 3rd gen ECU.

Photos? Note some 2nd Gen wheels are +30 whereas stock OEM 3rd gen is +25. So 5mm less poke. Probably not noticeable.
