I think I seen them on eBay at one time. Not 100% though.

They do sell the harnesses on ebay. I bought mine off Amazon though since the ebay sellers would not send it to my location. ebay had a lower price but since no shipping I had to order from Amazon and paid $10 shipping on top of the cost of the harnesses.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP! Excellent instructions, easy to follow and good pics! The only difference I made was running a dedicated hot and ground wire but other than that, followed exactly and had 0 issues. Thanks again!

Anyone know of a seller on Tacomaworld or otherwise that sells pre-made T-harness for a 2020 non JBL? I’m sure I could follow the diy, but I’d rather just pay than spend an evening screwing with it. Looking to add the Kicker key to compliment my new speaker and hideaway.

I thought about making the harness for those that needed/wanted but i don't know how to get a hold of the kicker harnesses that plug into the key. Call me crazy, I like the smell of solder.

I’m a derp. I just realized that would require access to the kicker part of the harness. Bummer

Haha someone had asked me to make them a t harness and I said I would. Then I realized i would have had to buy the amp myself. I was embarrassed to say I couldn't do it.

Is anyone willing to part ways with their factory entune 8"?? It looks like I blew the stock amplifier on the board (TOSHIBA TB2915AHQ). Its bursted and smells burnt. When I turned on my truck to ACC, I got loud noises through the speakers and the amp red light was going in and out. It started to smell bad so I shut it off. I disconnected the battery and checked everything to find the pictures attached. I also have my t-harness. Please let me know if there is something wrong with it.

I have the remote wire detached shown in the picture.

EDIT 8.13.2020 9:26PM. My dumbass spliced the whites and gray so essentially the key amp was amplifying back to the stock board amp:mad:. Still need a factory head unit though. I'm going to try and desolder this one out.

EDIT 8.14.2020. Local guy had a headunit to spare so im back up and running with my kicker key and speakers all good to go!

I’ve got a Kicker Key 200.4 coming in tomorrow, and some Kicker KCS front and rear speakers/Subaru tweeters sitting in their boxes waiting to be installed. I’ve only seen one other 2nd gen post on here saying they were installing their Key under the passenger seat. Is it confirmed that I have some space somewhere in the dash/glove box area for the amp, or should I go ahead and order some speedwire to put it under the passenger seat? I’m also planning on installing a JL Audio ACP108LG-W3v3 later & plan on using the RCA connections in the T-harness. I’ll definitely be here asking y’all to check my work before soldering and Tesa taping everything up!

There is room in the dash, kind of above the glove box. But it’s a pain to get to. A lot of disassembly, and you’re very close to the airbag. If you’re already doing a sub amp under the seat, put the Key under there.

like you said, grab a spool of speedwire and some ABS plastic to mount both amps to. Take the seat out and you’ll have all the room in the world to work. And mount a distribution block on that ABS panel as well so you can get power for the Key and the sub amp.

If you take the seat out, you can even do your speed wire over to the center console and up to the radio instead of down the kick panel and under the dash.

The sub is a powered sub that I'll be putting behind one of the back seats, will I still need a distribution block? I was thinking I'd only need to run power for the powered sub since the T-harness takes care of power for the Key. Also, is there any recommended speedwire to get?

The speedwire will not carry power or ground for the Key. Only audio. If you mount it anywhere other than in the dash, it will need power from the battery.
And sorry, I pictured an amp/sub and not a powered sub. You won’t need a distribution block but you’ll need a length of 10-12awg power wire and a fuse holder if the key goes under the seat. A 10awg power wire kit will be cheap.

I have a 180.4 stuff behind my radio in my 2nd gen, but it is a REALLY tight fit. Expect to do a lot of playing around with packing harnesses into the available space to get it to fit reasonably well.

Otherwise, speedwire and put the amp elsewhere. I would not recommend you try to run power and ground to and from the amp from the head unit it isn’t really close.

I’ve seen the size dimension comparisons, and it seems like the 200.4 is basically the same size as the 180.4. I guess I’ll try to see if I can fit it behind the head unit and see what I’ll need to do from there.
