Will this work with a alpine power pack? Only thing I see is there is a red wire that is not on the harness for then alpine

As someone with no electrical/wiring experience, this harness construction is pretty intimidating. Is the plug-n-play amp harness by T@cotunes the same thing? The $75 might be worth my sanity.

I’d agree with you as I had none before attempting this other than the leds I put on this truck. I read for 2 to 3 weeks before finally getting the courage to make this harness but in the end it wasn’t all that hard. I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it. You’ll save time buying one and I do believe the taco tunes is the same and others on Amazon are as well

Damn’t, now I have to do it as a “personal growth” exercise. I’ll reread the couple threads on this topic, but do you have any tips or resources for learning the basics for this project? Obviously some new tools and YouTube will be in order.

Everything that I used as well as a picture of my harness is posted here on this thread. If you’re not familiar with soldering or have the tools I would buy a kit from Amazon that has the solder already inside of a heat shrink sleeve and use a cigarette lighter to make connections. I used the same Metra harnesses on this thread that the op has instructions on doing

What if my adapter doesn't have the orange/black wire on the female set?

Then just take the blue looped wire and pin out and put It in the pin slot shown in the directions on post #1 of this thread. The boost and shutter video i posted on YouTube for you also explains this

I cut the looped wire already.. do I even need that blue wire in the wiring harness with all power/ground/speaker?

Actually I have another question. My head unit illumination isn't on. My adapter doesn't have the connection between orange/black to the small blue one. How do I add the wire?

I think the kits are time savers for soldering and looks better than I personally can solder

Okay. Sorry for the freak out just didn't want to get pulled over kuZ I'm driving now and just realized it. I figured it out. Went to an audio store the guy said cut that wire. Worked perfectly. I think that fuse was blown to begin with
