well houston  we have good news, the adapter worked, it only requires patience to centralize tps.
I received messages from people with the same problem that I had so I recommend them 100% it works

As well as I told you in private, you will have to do it in a store, it only requires a little testing and that's it, it works

Hey rodstef, I am having the same problem with my 96. Are you interested in selling a copy of the adapter you made?

Hello ghall2, I am in Paraguay, the cost of shipping to the United States would be very high, you could do it with a local supplier, if you need more photos, let me know

Does anyone know of someone who makes an adapter? If I can't find someone who makes an adapter I'll try to make one myself. More photos would be helpful, if its not to big of a deal. Did you have to change anything else while swapping over to the 3 pin TPS throttle body?

Just ran across this when looking to see if anybody has gotten some “fake” 4 pin sensors.. because i just got 2 different ones from 2 different places. Both had 4 pins but when you opened the back plate on them there was a pin not connected to anything.. which would cause the ecu to disable the throttle motor.. both sensors had the vc2 pin not connected which led me to think the ecu was bad after testing all wiring.. but was able to trick the ecu into thinking everything was working and re-enable the throttle motor by putting a simple 10 Ω resistor in series with the connection and using a diode between the vc and vc2 pins at the sensor to eliminate the short being sensed and triggering the fail safe disabling the throttle motor.. all its looking for on the 4 pins is a 1v difference between the vc and vc2 pins.. couldnt find a sensor that had 4 pins and showed the guts of the thing so not sure where could find another 4 pin that will actually work without having to rig one up like i did.. i looked on every site about part numbers but some reason all they show is my truck having a 3 pin sensor which it does not.. nowhere can i find a definitive part number for a 4 pin thats set with the same ohmage as it should be for my year or whatever..

That said why are people wanting to do a conversion to a 3 pin? Or to 4 pin..? Same reasoning? Cuz right now I’m dead in the water unless i use the rigging i did but the thing still sets the code 222 every now and again because the resistor will get warm and drop out of spec with what heat the engine gives off so really looking for a fix. Like a 4pin sensor that actually works and has all pins connected.. but no way to find that from what ive seen.. you can pay 150$ for one and it be the exact same sensor as a 20$ one found on ebay.. cant find any denso..

I've done a mod or two
That 4 pin sensor with the idle switch internal is pretty common on old toyotas, i have a few spares from my corolla that should work

My question with all this is if you buy a remanufactured 96-2000 3 pin throttle body and you want to replace your wore out 4 pin throttle body with it, can't you just take the 3 pin off remove the mounting plate and replace all the mounting hardware for the 3 pin with all the internals and hardware with your original 4 pin parts?
