Had my stock 2017 TRD off-road rims replaced with some TRD pro rims off a 2018 four runner and it had sensors. However my trick can’t recognize them. Taking to Toyota and they don’t know why. Any help please. Thanks

They are different sensors thats why. Tacoma and 4runners use different TPMS.

I bought some (Tacoma) TRD Pro wheels from someone for my TRD Sport, and my truck won’t recognize them either. Dealership says they can program them to my ecm for an hour of labor cost : $110-$120... yay....

Any new sensors have to be reprogramed in.

I’ve taken it to Toyota and they couldn’t program. Bishop 84, can I take my sensors off my old rims and use them on these ?

So, today I went to Discount Tire and asked if they could re-program my sensors…. The guy said he should be able to. He walks to each tire with his gadget, pushing a button or two, then plugs it into to my truck under the steering wheel, and BOOM! Yellow light goes out. He says, “all done.” It literally took 2 minutes. He charges me $0.00……says “have a nice day sir.” I drove less than 5 miles and the tire pressures on the instrument cluster pop up.
Just wanted to share this before someone gets charged the $110-$120 that my local Toyota dealership was going to charge me to re-program them.
Thanks to @Discount Tire for being human

Discount tire is awesome. I got my tires there. Free rotations, tire repairs, and alignment check.

I had a broken tps in a tire and wouldn't initialize just fyi. This was after like 2 hours of troubleshooting, simplest reason could be the issue
