I just had my Toyota dealer perform regular maintenance on my 2013 Tacoma 4x4 Access cab, 6 cylinders including tire rotation. Now the TRAC OFF light and check engine light are displaying and never were before. Where are the traction control sensors located and can I replace them myself? If I replace them and the problem persists where is the TRAC module located if I may need to replace that? Can I replace this myself? I have tried pressing the TRAC button on and off. I held this button down for a few seconds but no change. I disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes too.

Woa slow down, let's not start replacing parts yet.
First off the Trac off light will come on any time the check engine light is on.

Take a peek under the hood and see if anything is out of place, I'd bet they forgot to connect something.
If you don't see anything take it to a parts store, have the codes read, and post them here.

Trac light will come on anytime the check engine light comes on.
Take it back. Might have not hooked everything back up during their checks.

    Anytime something like this happens
NEVER NEVER NEVER DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
Doing that can erase important info the tech needs to help diagnose it..

Check your gas cap, if it's not tightened properly it can give you the same magic lights on dash/ instrument panel.:hattip:

What other regular maintenance was performed in addition to tire rotation?

If it started right after the dealership worked on it, call them and tell them.
Ask if they would be willing to take a look.
Don’t accuse them of anything. Ask if they care to take a look since it happened just after they serviced the truck.

    That’s where I’d start.

I bet they would be more than happy.

I did check under the hood first thing when I got home and didn't notice anything disconnected. Where/what do I look for under the hood that affects the TRAC? The other maintenance items were oil/filter change, cabin filter, multi point inspections, and spark plugs replaced. I also had them do a rework on my left front brakes. When I had all my brake pads replaced about a month ago they didn't install a spring that was missing so they filxed that. This morning when I traveled to work the TRAC and engine light did not come on for now as it did right after I picked the truck up yesterday. Maybe cycling the ignition switch resolved this?

X2. If the light comes back on again, this should be your next step. Techs are humans and they'll make mistakes. Atleast give them the chance to correct it before going hog wild

Need to really have it scanned before you can say that.

What's the code(s)? It COULD be coincidental timing. If you don't have a reader, most parts stores will read it for free.

I don't have a scanner myself but can someone tell me where these sensors are so I can see if something is just not plugged in?

They're not going to disconnect any sensors doing maintenance..

Without getting it scanned and posting codes, all we can do is guess. Go to a parts store and get it scanned

There is nothing wrong with your TRAC system... Quit spitting the bit. Get the code read.

you mentioned front brakes? there should be sensors on the front of hub, behind the wheel bearings little tear drop shaped sensor, with like a 10mm, or 12mm bolt in it.

Those wheel speed sensors won't trigger a CEL though, just abs/trac

A problem on the Check Engine side will trigger a trac light, but not vice versa..

I wonder if the caution lights were originally due to an issue caused by spark plug replacement, such as not fully seating ignition coil wiring.

If you go get your codes pulled you can confirm or rule that out. It’s good that the lights have gone away but you should still try to understand what happened if possible.

Wait and see what happens. Loose or failed gas cap is most common cause of those 2 lights.
