Send a letter to Toyotas lawyers to see if they will allow Toyota to allow them to make the changes.

What's the logic behind this? Why would you want to disable it on the fly without having to stop?

I tested the abs bypass switch
But it doesn't disable traction control
The fuse labeled "abs 1" does abs and
The fuse labeled "abs 2" is abs and brake booster

If your driving on a road that's snow covered the traction is a pita most of the time. Having to completely stop makes it even more of a pita

If I do that I'd focus on the car shutting off while it's remotely started when the door is opened first. Total bs in my opinion

I'm sure that toyotas lawyers told them to do that. Otherwise some one might sue when their vehicle gets stolen. Too many sue happy people make it Shitty for the rest of us.

But wouldn't it make sense that the car would shut off only if the key isn't present when the door is open?
I have a long thread about this on here somewhere

Many smart key systems do this, it's standard fare. It has to switch from a security bypass to a proximity start.

Yes it would. I agree with you on the truck shutting off and stopping to take the traction control off. At least you don't have to press the "ok" button to clear the warning on the radio every time you start the vehicle. Some vehicles used to have that feature

GM let's you turn it off while driving. It would suck in winter if you didn't have that capability. As soon as my throttle gets cut trying to pull out on a road, off it goes.

Huh weird , the ABS bypass mod on the 2nd gen kills the VSC / Traction Control too
