I'm looking at buying a different boat,
    either a new 2016-2017 Tracker Pro Guide V175 with a 115 4 stroke Mercury with sticker 0f $24,000 or
I've found a mint condition 2008 Lowe FM 175DC has a 115 Mercury Optimax 2 stroke on it, it's been garage kept and taken care of for $11,000 NADA lists the 08 Lowe between 10,500 and $11,500 depending on condition which it's in superb condition.

I'd rather have the 4 stroke but for a little more than twice the amount of money it seems like a lot just to get it, the Tracker is 4 inches wider but also 4 inches shorter.

I want a deep V aluminum boat only, I'd like to have a 18-20 foot boat but not having much luck finding one.

My wife, two juvenile delinquents and myself along with a dog will be using the boat

Suggestions and anyone ever owned either of these boats could chime in would be appreciated.

I've owned two Trackers, the last was a Tourniment V-18 with a merc. 115.
You get a lot for the money but I didn't like the overall quality of the boats

Thanks for the info, I've almost talked myself into holding out and getting a Tracker Targa 18 instead.

To be honest, I'd look at the Lowe real hard. Condition being key.
    Really liked the Mercury 115.
At half the cost it takes a lot of the purchase pain away. Plus Lowes are good boats
If you look at Lunds keep the fact that the company changed hands in 2005 and the newer boats don't get the love that the older ones do.

I've decided that If I do decide to go ahead with a purchase that the Lowe will be the one I pursue,
I actually did look at Lund boats and it was a good looking outfit,
but it was riveted and I do not want a boat with rivets, It's either welded or I won't buy it.

I found a Tracker Targa which is longer and wider than the other two previously mentioned, I paid a deposit on the Targa yesterday.

I've got a 2016 Mercury 115 Command Thrust outboard on my boat. It's a Thresher 21' fiberglass boat that I take almost exclusively out in the Pacific. The engine is rock solid. Mercury got that 4 stroke right, for sure. I've had it up to 34 mph on calm seas... and I'm sure it will push an aluminum tracker much faster.

The Targa has a Mercury 150 Optimax on it, it does the job pretty well,
It's the first Mercury that I've owned, I'm pleasantly surprised.
