While moving at a slow speed, I can hear a subtle "goan" sound which oscillates with wheel movement.. It sounds like it's coming from the front end, maybe the driver's side. When applying the brakes the sound still persists. Any ideas as what this might be or where I should start looking?

    Slide pins on your calipers?

How would the slide pins create a "groan" sound?

You said it happens when you brake. The pads slide on the pins

I believe that you misunderstood. On or off the brakes, the sound is still there.

This is a coincidence, mine is making a similar noise at low speed. After trying a few different things with no success, I turn off the AC and bingo, the noise stoped. Its was mimicking the rpm at slow speed.

Mine correlates to wheel speed. It's difficult to hear (especially for my old ears), but at very slow speeds it's noticeable. It's almost sounds like something is rubbing.

I 2nd the bearing idea. Drivers side is known to go first. Also could be a stuck caliper piston holding the pad against the rotor.

Bearing and stuck caliper sound like they are the likely suspects. I'm leaning towards the bearing because the calipers (new Toyota) are less than a year old.

Could an overfilled differential or bad/stuck breather cause low speed groans?

Unlikely. I don't believe they would produce a mechanical sound like I'm experiencing.

Perhaps I'm thinking of a grumble.
