    Hi!

New here but I just wanted to see if anyone has a lead on where to find the scuff plates (grey) that go right where you step into the cab. I am trying to see if anything aftermarket exists but I have yet to find anything :(

Also looking to buy a grey oem steering wheel, doesn't have to have the airbag. Mine is destroyed.

    Many thanks

    edit: it is a 2002 tacoma sr5

Yeah the older grey is more of a blue grey. Also the shape of the steering wheel is different.

Is your 2000 the older or newer grey? If it’s the same grey as mine would it have the same steering wheel? Sorry!! Getting a crash course on these things lol

What is the condition of your scuff plates? IF they are still intact and just the tabs are broken, then check this out -

Sadly they are non-existent :( Somewhere along the life of it they got removed and never reinstalled

Thank you for the heads up!! As much as I’d love to text I don’t think they would appreciate the long distance call from Canada :p
Will leave a message on the thread

So for 2000-2004, the original part numbers are:

    Driver side: 6791404040B0
    Passenger side: 6791304040B0

Sadly, like many other interior parts, these are no longer being produced.

Not all hope is lost... checking 1999 there are a couple of options which might still be available -
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/par...ve/body/floor_mat_silencer_pad.html?pnc=67914

    For the passenger side -
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/par...ve/body/floor_mat_silencer_pad.html?pnc=67913

Now I can't say if it would be a good fit but it's something to explore if you can't find the original 00-04 part#s anywhere. Hell, could always rattle can the 1999 scuff plates to a close color if they fit.

    Good luck.

Oh and I checked ebay, nothing there for 6791404040B0 or 6791304040B0

From my experience he doesn’t check in on the thread. He actually prefers you text.

Really appreciate the info. Never had a vehicle community so helpful lol. Going to keep an eye out and see if anything pops up while I am searching. Thank you!!!!

Adding them to my call list. Much appreciated for the lead.

Checked my phone plan and to my surprise I can text to and from the USA without extra fees so I will actually shoot him a message in the morning (Id be waking him up if I did right now )
