I bought a TracRac Pro 2 for the 2nd gen Tacoma model number 37004XT off craigslist. The clamps that came with it don't work due to differences in the bed rail system. Does anyone know which clamps will work with my 3rd gen? I prefer Thule clamps but would consider a universal.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Contacted Thule. Clamp part number XK4 if anyone is interested.

    Thanks,

How far apart are you planning on spacing the racks? I had to cut the legs on mine and re-tapped the threads since they were too tall. I have it just enough to clear the fin antenna.

I had to buy the clamps separately too.

They are spaced about 48 inches apart center to center. I installed the clamps and everything appears to be ok. The block on the clamp that inserts into the rail doesn't fill up the space and as I tightened it down using an allen wrench (supposed to be 10 ft lbs) seems to flex a little bit. Did you have that problem?

Yes! The same thing happened to me following torque specs. Flexed a little on the first 2 clamps I installed on one leg while alternating to tighten the two before I noticed. Thought I had my wrench set wrong. I tightened the rest to what felt right, and seems to be tight enough.
