I'm really going to have to consider putting these on my Taco. I just put a 2.5" lift on the truck, and now i'm getting the camper ready. So this may also need to go on the truck. Great info, thanks

Ya, a torque bar is probably a better application than ladder bars or a snubber bar. I have no doubt they could have made a 3 link work. Probably need to redesign the rear frame but since it was a new generation of the model it was a good opportunity to do so. A stiffer leaf pack would make a world of difference as well but then people would complain about the ride quality.

There is no shortage of opinions on traction control, 3 link, cal trac, contact or "slapper", ladder, etc. All are designed to minimize or eliminate "axle wrap" and or the change in the pinion angle, which can be extreme in some situations, and result in drivability issues, apparently not uncommon in lifted Tacomas. My intent in posting the video was not to provoke a lot of debate about which is better. It was only to show how the suspension flexes and the pinion angle changes on a street driven Tacoma. If those with opinions have actually had experience with traction bars, they know what works best for the way a vehicle is being used. No single traction control device is the "best" for every situation, but generally a compromise best determined by how you use the vehicle.

So whats the traction bar that everybody are happy with ?
Where did you buy it ?
New leaf springs Toyota gave with frame swap are complete crap. So much Axle wrap in them its not funny. Almost like driving on rubber bands

Traction control - contact bars in the video, are custom made to specifically "fit" my Tacoma.

    Ah ok.
I am looking at bud built now, and I think that is what I am going not go with but I am going to sap whole suspension.

Stupid leaf springs are so soft they feel like they made out of rubber. They must be what Toyota designed for 3rd gen. If turck had no torque they would work but 2gen is not a turd gen so those wimsy leafs get now wrapped on the axle.

Maybe I can sell them to some turd gen guy

had posted this before but a good place for a repost. I am doing a home made version of this on my Mustang-It is a design element that uses a half spring- thus not getting a change in spring rate but bolstering the leading edge of the spring so it does not wrap under acceleration. All I know is that Mike is a go to guy when setting up classic mustang suspensions.

I drove daily a truck I can not slide under with Lakewood bars. Never scraped.

No way in this world would I even attempt with my 4x4 the way these things flex lmfao.
