Traction control turned itself off (and then back on) while driving in heavy rain.

Searched and could not find this but, no doubt, this cannot be unique.....

Driving my 2019 DCLB automatic in extremely torrential rains yesterday. Hydroplaning occasionally but nothing too terrible although my pretty co-pilot thought it was a bit dicey. :)
The "traction control off" light came on. I had no time to take my eyes off the road or fiddle with any dials or switches. After maybe a mile or so, the light went back out.

Was my truck doing something normal/safety-related by doing this due to the rain or did something go wrong? I was thinking maybe a sensor got jarred from the heavy water hits or something. Really haven't a clue.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Sensor error ... I would just keep an eye on it . If it does it again take to the dealer to check for errors .

in my experience, it could be 2 things. Not going to say it's for sure since I'm not seeing it, but when you loose grip or steering input doesn't match yaw sensor, it will flash. Another thing it could be is a malfunction of a wheel speed sensor. For me this occurred when a gasket on the sensor bound up when I removed and reinstalled the sensor which in turn increased the gap between the sensor and the wheel bearing. Simple fix. If water got into the harness, just unplug, apply dielectric grease to inhibit corrosion etc.

My light has come on for a few seconds then back off. Usually exiting a highway and hitting a area of water build up. The light turns off a second or two later after I pass the higher water area. Never had it stay on that long without me turning it off or holding it till it turns off

Normal. In heavy rain the sensor on the front can't read anything so it shuts off. Otherwise it would plow you into something. Put a piece of cardboard on it you'll get the same thing.
