Thanks. I don't believe so but I'll have to check on that. Just got it back from a fresh frame install and they put new brake lines in. It was a 35 year master mechanic... seemed like a good guy. I'd like to think they made sure brakes were good to go. Who knows.

Also last month a guy pulled out in front of me and I smashed into his passenger front. Light rain.. It didn't seem like the truck stopped at all. Like I was on ice skates, no tires no anti lock. Granted he was pretty close to me when he went.

I would get your money back on the tires there should be some kind a warranty. And a couple sand bags in the bed possibly

Go to 29psi on all 4. I was doing the same as you when I put 265/70/17’s on my open diff truck too. Playing with chalk and pressures, I found that 29psi gives the best contact patch.

Thanks I may give cooper a call but I think they do not warranty tires bought at Walmart. Maybe Walmart will. Hopefully tire pressure change will help along with 4 hi if needed.

Appreciate all the suggestions! ..and so quickly.

I remember my 2nd gen doing that all the time. I think it's why toyota muted the throttle on the 3rd gen as it has significantly better traction even though it's basically the same chassis. the 1gr's aggressive throttle causes it. it used to spin on dry all the time for me, and if i was doing 20 and floored it, it would drop into 1st gen some wheelspin and go... i miss that with my 2gr!

I'm only a single cab 2WD, but I don't have traction issues and I have driven mine in snow and rain often.

I don't weight the bed and usually it's just me in the truck. I have Yokohama Avid Ascent tires I bought 2 years ago and they are fine for what I do.

Not sure if that's helpful, but my 2 cents

Lol. Yeah it's pretty comical when it happens. The hill isn't THAT steep either. It's just ridiculous and I have to laugh. I'm sure the other people at the four way are like lol that tacoma can't get up the hill! That's what I hear in my head anyway. Ha!

I got the truck from my dad in April. (He passed away in JAN). I haven't driven in the snow yet. I will say he had Hankook dynapro highway tires on it before I put these on and those stuck to the road.

Correct. I had actually put weight in it when I first bought it but took it out after a couple of weeks. Forgot to throw it in one snowy day and just went with it, but it was fine. IDK if the single cab helps or not.

FWIW, I had a 2006 Chevy Colorado single cab 4x4 and it SUCKED in the snow.

I've never used the ones you have so can't comment on them per se

That could be, I didn't think of that.

We had a horrendous winter here in 2015 and I drove it all the time, except if my wife and I went out we would take her Rav4 AWD. That said I work 30 minutes each way from home and didn't have problems.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I'd just be careful and give it more time. Additives from manufacturing or if walmart did any kind of dressing can take time to wear off. Could always contact Cooper for suggestions even if they wont warranty anything.

Had the same experience in the past with my Tacoma. Put a Detriot TruTrac in for offroading purposes. What was unexpected was how much it improved it's on road manners. It's made the truck so much more drivable and enjoyable. Uphill turns in the rain...it hooks and moves! No more 1 tire fire and it's always working without flipping switches.

Hate to admit it but I feel safer in my subi when it rains. Until this tire issue is settled anyway. The 94 went anywhere I wanted to go. Miss that one.

I ran across this option the other night. I'll have to look around again can't remember if they have something for my model truck. Sounds like a good option.

Not sure. I tried looking up the VIN but it didn't say.
