I like that fireplace/stove combo. No kneeling or bending over for stoking the stove...unless you're Kareem Abdul Jabar.

    Thanks!!

It was a functioning fireplace when we moved in. Fireplaces don’t really provide any heat, so I slapped the stove in there.

Ended up at my co-worker's house last night loading dirt. I thought I'd get all the dirt we dug out in one load.
Loaded tons of dirt on the trailer and it was only a third of it at best. He pulled it down here and his Nissan Armada was squatting like a lowrider and that was with the 1400lb 3240 hanging all the way on the rear of the trailer. Brakes smoking and stinking lol.

We dropped it last night and I'll unload today

Always surprising how much dirt weighs. With the sideboards on it my dump trailer can handle 8 yards of volume, but with the 14k rating you hit the 10,500lb cargo capacity WAY before you get anything close to that in it. Even something like manure maxes out what the trailer (and my truck) can haul at 5-6 yards. The only way I can actually haul full volume is for light stuff like mulch/compost, sawdust, leaves, etc.

I mean, a 5-7 yard dump truck is a 6 wheel CDL truck for a reason. The juice brake non-cdl (registered under 26k) trucks will be overweight well before the box is at capacity with almost anything but mulch. DOT loves contractors with dump trailers for a reason.

    Yep.
That's exactly why I opted for the 14k rather than the 16k dump. My truck is registered for 10k GVWR, so the 16k trailer would have meant needing a CDL. The 14K gives me some wiggle room.

Looks like a pretty long driveway. Couple hundred feet? Does your neck get sore snowblowing in reverse? My driveway is a little over 700 feet. At some point in the future, I'd like to pick up the front mount blower for my BX.

Such a strange year for weather. Shorts to snowplow the same week.

Going backwards is all I know. My fathers set up was the same growing up.
Takes about an hour. 3 passes wide on the drive. Multiple on the pad.
So many people complain about the3pt blowers but for the money, size and their superior performance over many front mounted ones I wouldn’t change it. having the bucket on for corn up is also helpful

picked this up a while back. Outside of the knowledge google can bestow upon us, does anyone know a way to date this bush hog? Model 12 was the first model they made, just curious what year and if it’s any more valuable than the great deal I got on it?

Yeah that’s what sparked my interest. They’re made about an hour from here. Maybe I’ll shoot them an email and see if they can date it. Not sure if I want to restore it or just weld some patches and slap some paint on it. I just don’t want to ruin anything that might be special to someone else.
