100% sand here, I will have grab a picture of some old blades, by the time I'm done with some of the blade sets they might be 1.25" wide, lol.

If I cut at 2.5in height, I might get 30 hours out a set of blades. I use sand blades 80% of the time till Fall and leaves, sand blades are flat, double sided with cutting edges.

I have a Bush Hog brand, looks about the same. Mine is 7' and I paid $955.56 for it. I know that is a specific price, had it in my notes on my phone :D

I have a box blade, but not a Woods.
My tines are individually held in by pins. Trying to figure that one out from the picture. Looks like maybe there's a plate that runs behind all of them and holds them in on their notches?
Seems like a high stress point if you use the tines to dig much. I wonder if that system would hold up as well.

I definitely couldn’t run a 7’ box blade with the shanks down.

    That’s a good price on a 7’.

You have some good points. Let me see if I can find some information out on this particular model.

I think that Woods has a bar that holds two shanks on each end then the lynch pin holds the bar, not sure what holds the middle one in.

I got it from a dealer who posted it in c-list, I think they had it for a while and just wanted it gone.

Here’s the only picture I can find of it from 5 years ago. It only has 6 shanks, they have a pin through each one.

Guess I need to see how these shanks are held into place.

$500 does seem like a decent deal. Most of what I've done with my box scraper has been with the tines fully raised so depending on your use, it may not matter much.

@T-yoda I had to go to the local hardware store (small one) and get a couple of grinding bits, they were in the welding section and I found this there. It’s called a "tip drill set" but will be perfect for carb jets. All the bits are inside the handle, it was $14.

Don't they have a pin behind the ripper to hold it forward into the height setting slot at the front of the ripper?

    Reserected from the dead.
Much needed accessory for the lift table. Air wrench powered winch for dead zero turns. Those things suck to push even with the bypasses open.PXL_20210506_202323281.jpg
