My brother has crushed asphalt on his driveway, once you get it level and drive over it and after the sun bakes it, it gets compacted and really tight again. Something to think about.

A family member has this in their flat driveway. I do like it as it is nice and smooth and fairly maintenance free. A lot of big farm equipment and trucks use it and it has held up well. They do have it resurfaced every 5 or 6 years though.

The magnets are a weak link on these Kohler command engines. They come from the factory stuck with double sided tape. After running hot, the adhesive let's go.

Someone has been in this engine before and glued the magnets in the wrong position. They are polarity sensitive.

I have a new(used) set on the way.

You can't buy these magnets new...that I know of. You have to buy the entire flywheel. Kinda sucks

    Agree, does suck.
Do you tape them or epoxy?

I will be using hi temp resistant epoxy.

The mags won't be here until next week.

I hate having my shop log jammed with dead equipment.

I stuck this one to the road an hour ago.

    Already had 2 "tire kickers".

Any guesses how long it's gonna sit?

I had a gentleman talk my ear off for the last 45 minutes.

He is planning on coming back tonight with his son in law for a second opinion.

Says he will take it if the SIL green lights the deal.

Hasn't been 18 hrs yet. I'll update this evening.

Deal went south, which I'm okay with.

The old boy was 92 years old. Claimed he had 3 lawns he wanted to cut and was getting tired of shelling $150 a week for the mowings.

He wanted a bagger for the mower

I didn't really want to tell him I had another unit with a bagger ready to go.

He had a touch of Parkinson's, so operating a ZT with a rigid bagger system was really bothering me.

I'm in good controls of my facilities, but it is easy to forget you have a 600 lbs counterweight hanging off the ass. A lot of damage can occur if you are not super aware of your "6".

I like making a sale, but these units are the ones that do not forgive if you hit something.

The paint on the mower will be scarred, but the building will be damaged.

    To, be, continued...

My grandma's JD 935 is like that, although maybe a little more delicate. She's since passed, and my dad has taken over mowing the 7ac yard on the farm.

He quickly figured out that that beast does not forgive errors. It won't bounce off a tree, it'll tear off the wheel first... Thankfully it was just a bump and not a bash. Could have been worse.

I don't know how she's had it since new, nearly 30 years, and it still looks like it is only a few years old. It's mint.

I need to run my tractor before my garage reclaims it. I have some ground work to do once it quits raining.

Needed some decals to make the mower stand out from all the rest up for sale. Figured " factory" decals could make it "pop".

Found a similar sticker on the ' bay.

    Copied it to my computer.

Imported it to Design space and told the Cricut unit to cut it out.

As long as I'm not doing this to make money, no one seems to mind.

Uploaded the image to DS. Had to tell Design space what to keep and what to discard.

You can just barely see the cut out pattern on the sticker.

    BTW. I made 3.

I removed what is considered the scrap. What is left is the actual decal.
