One thing that stuff taught me--and keep in mind I love hot peppers. I can eat habaneros raw and had my own Carolina Reaper plant and ate those peppers. Pepper spray triggers a physiological response you can't control. Totally different than eating peppers and having pain tolerance to their heat.

That spray was like getting punched in the diaphram. I still have the spray bottle full in the garage, not really sure why...

I’m still trying to get them out of the new house and garage. I catch a few mice a few week in the garage. Haven’t seen any in the house in the last few weeks but every few nights I’ll hear one. No issues with cars or the mower yet. Found a cat eating the dog food on the porch the other night so that may be helping

Wouldn't you know it, an M8-1.25x20mm 12.9SHCS with a Geomet coating is something that Fastenal doesn't have yet.

I pick up every offset deck 2-stroke Lawn Boy that pops up on Kijiji in my area. Some sellers are catching on though. The prices are sky high on some. Great mowers if you don’t mind pre-mix. Light weight, powerful, and at 40-50 years old, are just getting broken in.

Wish you were closer. I've got perfectly running Lawn Boy that I don't need anymore.

Well, I've thought that and wondered how well it worked.

With that said, we are hoping to spend more time in the SC/Charlotte, area in the near future during the colder months.

I recently scrapped a Lawnboy I bought new in 2000 when I bought my house, I loved the one my dad had as a kid, it worked well for a long time, then it sat, I got it running then stupid things on carb started breaking, springs and the governor vane, the parts were cheap, but the shipping was getting insane ($12 for just one $1 spring) another $12 for the vane, I forgot what that cost. I decided it wasn’t worth fixing anymore, nobody stocked parts for it anymore. Last time it ran I think the governor let it wind out too much, and it seized up. I was able to turn it once it cooled, but I was done, it was hard for the kid to hold the handle bail to keep it running, and it got hit in the wheel by something and broke the wheel and bent the axle. Done. childhood dreams, adult nightmares

I have put moth balls on a plastic tray in crawlspaces, it does seem to keep the larger critters out, I don't know about mice.

    Agree, they are great machines.
I sold an old non running (ignition) 2-stroke Lawn Boy a few years ago, a nice older fellow (70's) drove about 100 miles round trip to get it.
