I don't know enough about them to say yes or no, I do know some of the Kawasaki engines had problems with oil leaks.

I missed the 10 acres part, I wouldn't want to mow that much with a 52" anything

Ouch because it will take a while? I'd expect 3 hours. Maybe 4?

We will eventually get a tractor, but it's not in the budget right now.

Have you mowed the 10 acres? The reason I ask is, is it rough or smooth? That will be a factor in how long it will take as well.

Not yet. It's not super smooth. But its now too rough or steep. It's definitely no football field. Was a cow pasture decades ago.
Eventually there will be a house, shop, stable and a couple fields to mow around. But right now, its empty.

Why are you mowing 10 acres?

Did you order an engine rebuild kit? Let me know what you think of it if you went that route, I need to rebuild one of ours. It sounds like a diesel if you idle it down low enough.

Let’s hope so. I’m looking to sell it. I just tested out the tiller. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did TBH.

Now I’m going to throw the sickle bar on and see how it does. Figure it’ll be easier to sell if people can see it working.

We have eleven acres here, probably five of it is lawn. I just picked up one of these 60” DR tow mowers and offset it behind my X585 that has a 60” deck. It speeds up the process quite a bit. Especially, with no obstacles to mow around.

Seeking advice from all you mad fabbers.

tonight I was doing my weekly inspection of the tractor and noticed something a little “off” with the bucket level.

I looked into it more and noticed my loader on the right side is bent a little by the pins. The metal seems to be spreading by the pins a little more than 1/8” but less than 1/4”.

    DBA559F4-E6AB-4DA6-8786-8B366FCEC928.jpg

So my question is what hydraulics can squeeze this back in spec and would you brace back up up with plate steel?

I was thinking on the upper arm to plate the outside, and the lower to weld a strap inside to hold the metal in place.

@ColoradoTJ yoi could use a porta-power to push it back if you had something to brace it against, or use another tractor or other piece of equipment to anchor a come along to and pull it back from the other side (assuming you can access it through).
I think the material you’re planning on adding should be enough, if you feel that it’s a little light still you could cut a piece of tube to fit tight and weld it in the middle somewhere it doesn’t interfere.

I was thinking of using this hydraulic port a power. Great thing about being in heavy industry....the tools.

I think if you can get it back where it needs to be with that and put some plates on it, it should help it.

Wonder what is causing it to spread like it is?
