I got 10.3 MPG on the way down with the empty trailer but I was pushing it pretty hard. I’m gonna unhook the trailer and fill it up and see what my return trip netted me. It has dual tanks, so it holds 63.5 gallons (23.5 front and 40 rear). I used ~1/2 a tank going going down and about 3/4 of a tank coming back. I filled up on the way down to pick up the tractor about 18 miles before I got to the dealership. Those dual tanks make long trips a lot easier, I only stopped the one time on the way down to get fuel. I knocked out almost 300 miles in 4h45m with a 25ft trailer in tow. My trip showed that it was 287 miles but my GPS said it was 298. My oversized tires have my speedometer off just a hair. I have 255/80R17 vs the 235/80R17 factory tires.

I’ve been using Messicks app to look up my New Holland parts. I’ve ordered from them a few times. They are usually cheaper than my New Holland dealer even with freight.

Many a tractor folk coworkers...lol, guy that sits directly behind me is checking out Big Iron every day. He bids on quite a bit of things on there from welding equipment to planters. He's a welder by trade. Buys planters I believe 8 rows and converts to 4's ?? For the smaller gardeners? Or perhaps farmers who also garden. Not sure.

A friend of mine bought a 15’ Tye no till drill at a sale cheap and made it into a 7 1/2’ so he could use it. If you have the time to convert stuff, a lot of the time around here the bigger implements are cheaper and you can have spare parts because the big farms are disappearing

I recently purchased some land, an hour+ South of me, it has 9yrs of overgrowth on it, the old man I bought it from quit maintaining it as he got older. I have a ton of Huisache, Mesquite and hackberry to clear out. I’am now thinking about getting a 3pt pto driven tree saw for a less of an invasive method to minimize soil disruption, using a skid steer/dozer from what I learned ends burying more invasive seed. I have a meeting at the property with the district agent with the USDA/NRCS this week, going to see what kinda of programs/grants they are currently offering.

Does it have heat or do you just get the heat off the trans? Either way, beats being in the elements
