Ok this adds to the equation.
You have a lot going on.

Not trying to be rude, just dissecting what was presented.

Your either grew up like cutting the yard or didn't, not much of a lawn guy but wants 1,800 Sq garden also...

I have that size of a Victory Garden, which is very large for a typical home owner, but I live on acreage, can be very time consuming.

If your into gardening your into the lawn, never met a person that didn't like one completely over the other.

My analysis, just buy the ZTR and save the time for your hobbies which sounds like much more fun. Unless your retired, continue to buy you fruits and vegetables from the store, unlikely you will never break even with cost and time of maintaining a garden that size.

    I'm starting this one today.

    Needs:
    New engine.
    I front wheel.
    Seat.
Clean up the deck to increase its curb appeal.

Once those things are repaired the only difference will be the seat. The new ones have a suspension.

Everything on these is designed to be replaced quickly.

Most wearable items don't need attention until 1000 hours.

These 52" are a great size for 1-3 acres and they park in your garage easy in front of your car.

I have giant 1993 (ish) Toro Z Master which is a front mount deck, your feet actually sit on the deck which articulates -- an odd feeling at first. This was an $8000 mower when new, I paid $100 for it not running. I love the machine.

I have looked at some of the big Grasshopper front mounts that can take snow plows and etc, wanted to find a used one.
Like the Toro they are giant, take up as much garage space as a small car.

Still would probably buy one (cheap) if it came along, sometimes cool gets in the way of smart for me...

Looking to remove a jd lx173 steering wheel… another job I got for next week…. Any pointers ? I’m assuming I’ll probably need some type of puller?

    Is the center shaft accessable?

Air chisel with a dull anvil works awesome!

Looks like mom gave you the brains -- you have a fairly clean shop and make money regularly.

My garage looks like a tornado hit a flea market and if I do sell something I take a beating. :(

Regular automotive steering wheel puller? Pop the center cap off and see if has any tapped holes.

Hey y’all, does anyone here tow a 16-18 foot tandem open trailer behind their Tacoma? Looking for pictures of anything concerns ya had while doing it. Thanks!

Don't listen to these guys. You already know what you want. One machine that's going to pull shit and cut grass. Do yourself a favor, don't go to a big box store. Go to a tractor store that sells riding lawn mowers. I'm ridiculously happy with my husqvarna.

I have hauled 3600+lbs with my 2.7/5MT Taco. It didn't like the weight and the clutch was stinking when I got there. No funny handling or anything. I think trailer brakes would be nice with this weight as it pushed me around a bit when braking.

Light brakes with at least double the braking distance

Absolutely. I didn't have any safety issues but brakes would have been nicer. If i was buying this size trailer it would have brakes. This was a loaner.

I see you have an SR, 4 cylinder or V6? The 4 is only rated 3500 pounds I believe.
What is the empty weight of the trailer, what is going on it, how far are you going, how often?
Start with a brake controller, WD hitch.

Also there is a Towing section of the forum, lots of info there.

    1) He asked for our opinions, he stated he doesn't know about the equipment he is inquiring about.

    2) He also mentioned front weights and a tiller, both items move you out of the riding mower class of machine and into the garden tractor class. Even the thatcher and aerator are pushing the window of a riding mower.
The distinction is that a garden tractor is built to use ground engaging implements, a riding mower is built to pull a cart only.

    3) Agree about staying out of box stores.

    4) Glad you are happy with your purchase and it suits your needs however power equipment generally isn't one size fits all.
