I rebuilt the spool valve on my 3205 today since I had it torn down to the frame and the o-rings were leaking. These are stackable up to 3 valves. You can see the 3 windows in the frame for the hoses to exit.

I have 2 more valves and handles but don't have any way of capping the ports so I'm not ready to expand the hydraulics on this tractor yet. This is how I added the controls for my loader and rear hitch hydraulic controls on my 3240 and also why I chose the Cub 3000 series GTs to geek out on.

Well boys. The gravely goes back to the dealer at 71 hours. Gas gauge is broken. Stuck on E. :(

Just get a used 500 series Toro. These are rock and stick durable. No stamped steel anywhere.

I paid close to 9k for this one. No stamped steel either. I wouldn’t own a toro. If I ever get another new one next one will be a scag. This gravely has impressed me since day one. Not mad about the fuel gauge. Things happen.

Understood. Scags are great. I like the 10 year old or so machines, not as many safeties to baffle you down the road.
    Good luck on the hunt.

I cut 10 acres weekly a 10 year old machine is out of the question. I sold a 2015 turf tracer for this one. Night and day difference in the time it takes to cut.

Seriously, you need to consider getting the suspension forks for that machine. What's another $400?

That does make a difference,. With that said I couldn't imagine cutting 10 acres standing up!

Rented a dingo power rake to overhaul the common gravel road, as well as some yard leveling and seed prep work, of course the first reservation (under my buddy's business account no less) was botched so I locked it down for this past Friday/weekend rental.
    20211002_183538.jpg

So of course I get notified Friday morning that the rakes that were scheduled to be returned hadn't been received. So I got them to track one down, an hour away...so I call to coordinate the pickup given the drive/distance.

They give me the thumbs up to head up and it'll be done and easy for checkout, I left 30mins later, get there and find out only 1 of 2 units were returned and the one had a frame separation and needed to be fixed via welds. About 10 mins into the 30-40min repair, the other power rake shows up, but of course I got the rewelded unit.

Got it home and ran it from around 2:00 until 6:30pm. It did a great job, as expected...

Jump to Saturday early afternoon, I fire up the rake and hit my drive, and start on part of the recently shredded/mulched tree clearing as we're prepping to put an extended gravel path to the shed. 15mins into using it, one of the rake hoses blew out from the coupler crimp and thank goodness I had sunglasses on! 20211002_183447.jpg 20211002_143919.jpg We will see what the rental place does to make me whole or reschedule the rental for this Friday...

Yes sir, friend of mine does residential/commercial cutting with gravely 200 and has them, he said he wouldn't buy another machine if that wasn't an option, not all yards are smooth/level.

My next machine will be in the commercial line, I have no complaints on my 52 ZT, other than I wish it had the upgraded seat, forks and more hp/tq for taller grass.

Edit. Found them on Google. Are they worth the money?? My yard is rough as hell

I've looked them over. They are nothing more than 1.5k trailer torsion spring assembly. They just weld another trailing arm or similar to make the wheel fork area.

Shit! I think I accidently painted myself into a corner.

Skip this post, nothing to see here.

    Carry on.

A person with some mild fabrication skills could build a set pretty reasonable.

I assembled my spool valve but one of the old rubber hoses cracked when twisting thru the mess that is a Cub 3000 spool valve hose arrangement. I hoped it was just the outer casing but nope--got an oil shower on startup.

Due to the proprietary Cub fittings I cut them out of the old hoses and will have my hydraulics guy crimp them into new hose. Process below is to split both sides of the ferrule with a cut-off wheel then cut crossways across the front of the ferrule then crack it apart with a chisel--I used my air hammer.

At least you were in the garage rather than at the far end of the acreage.
