Thanks. Yep, I love this tractor. So easy to use, get on/off of, runs great and that loader has saved my back soooo many times.

Wow on those hours. Testament to the Kohler Command's durability. It looks like it's built like a tank. Hope you get it going your way.

Yes, I should have set that limb up before i ever went to get her for help. Got distracted--DUH!
Thanks on the gear. I try to tackle it a little at a time. I've touch up painted several spots and I wipe it down or wash it if it gets muddy but none of my stuff is a garage queen. I use it hard and fix it if I mess it up. I just take it a little piece at a time and don't let things go too long and when I fix it, I fix it to go a million miles. The old truck fleet mechanic in me.

If my "little" Kohler KT725 even gets 1/10th that I'd be happy!

Maybe I will now that I ordered some Valvoline VR1 Syn 10w30 and Baldwin filters, no Fram's :spy:

I take care of the important things: oil/filters/grease but have never really found the time/energy/motivation to go beyond that.
Almost all my gear came to me very used and very cheap, I buy good parts and fix things to last but don't restore things.

Looking back at the last few of decades I realize now that I have always had way more to do than I ever had time (and later energy) to achieve. Getting it working was always all I had time for.

Moving forward I'm trying to devote my time to jettisoning off some of those responsibilities so maybe for once I can post a picture of something shiny.

Heh, I've been ordering Hastings filters a couple years now, which are the same as Baldwin (Clarcor Corp). They're the perfect balance of cost and durability. I order a load of them for all the vehicles every so often to offset cost and with the current situation they've been sending me the the nice red Baldwin's.

The VR1 was a spur of the moment thing. It was $50 shipped to my door from Amazon for a 6qt case. Should last me 2 years, so $25 a year for oil is not bad... I can't get my Rotella, or Delvac and my favorite passenger vehicle oil is Valvoline, so it was a no brainer :D

Just gotta do a little project at a time on the cosmetics. I was tired today and wanted to go sit but had enough energy to tackle a little project that's been bugging me. Cub decal on my FD620D engine all curled up on the edges. I took it off, cut the edges off, cleaned the adhesive off the back of it, and rubber cemented it back on. Lil 15min project and it makes me happy to look at it now.

On my ZT the oil filter is difficult to get at much less write the date/hours on -- and the WIX filters I use are black as well.
I put blue painters tape under the seat and write the date/hours on that. I do the same on the vehicles, put the blue tape on the upper rear of the drivers door frame. It doesn't fade a bit even in the winter.

The orange can catches a lot of grief, it’s not a favorite, that fact that the machine actually saw service is MUCH more important, at least the filter isn’t layered in years of oily debris, it could be worse

I put the orange can on it. I know what they are and am not afraid of them nor do I follow the trend of bashing them. That engine was absolutely filthy when I got it. All leaking seals were replaced after a thorough douching.

I’ve used em, and it beats not having anything, there may have been a time when there was actually an issue, I’ve seen failures from a few brands, literal failures, the can blows out the crimp seam, or the base fractures. Not same brand as discussed.
I’m fortunate in that I can source some of my filters thru work, so I take the cost reduction when I can. ($40 air filter is still $40) I do pay attention to air filters and the media used, those I have seen performance reduction and even engine damage because of the media used. (K&N will not be used on anything I don’t reasonably expect to rebuild in short term).

I love the orange filter. It has that hi grip texture paint.

    Bad@$$!
With the current "man cave" thing going on they would probably sell by the thousands!
(Mostly to Dodge truck drivers probably but hey, their money could fill your billfold just fine.)

From my extensive knowledge of firearms (gleaned entirely from 1970's TV detective shows) I believe silencers are supposed to be stealthy and discrete. A radioactive orange can doesn't really go hand in hand with discrete.
