Always thought of getting one of these, but I'd only be able to dig after it rains for an extended period of time. My property is primarily clay, during dry summers it's like concrete. :(

I've always had good luck with them except for their tractor manuals. (I ended up getting a factory AGCO manual for my '64 MF35 Utility) If I don't get factory MF parts, I usually go through them. Their shipping prices kinda suck on small items, though.

I had a cab 2555 for several years when I was helping dad make hay and plant corn, I think the 55 series are the best ones Deere ever built.

Take care of your ears (especially if you’re young like me), get some electronic hearing protection for about $50 (US).

I should. I already have some hearing loss so it would be in my best interest to do it.

Speaking of hearing protection. I’ve been looking for some Bluetooth earbuds without the cord to replace my giant 3m ones with radio and Bluetooth . Does anyone have suggestions?

I know ISOTunes has a pair that fit the bill for about a hundred bucks. Curious if anyone has taken some $25 Amazon Bluetooth ear pods and put some upgraded foam tips on them for hearing protection?

I bought a pair of jabra 75T a few months ago. I was never a music while doing work outside guy but they have served me well. I wouldn’t consider them protection however. I use them mowing but put a pair of ear muffs over them. The other day I ran my wood splitter with just the buds but with having to up the volume, not sure I was doing anything protective. guys on another tractor forum have had mixed reviews on the isotunes.

This thing is way better than I thought it would be. I’m so glad I bought it.

That's awesome, HHG. My buddy was thinking about getting one. Have you dug into any rock hard clay yet? I'd love to know how it does.

I work construction and wear these. When you get used to putting them in your ears right they work just as good as foam earplugs but you can listen to music!

battery lasts 10+ hours and I’ve had them almost a year with hardly any issue.
Maybe once a week while I’m working the sound will stop, but all I have to do is turn them off and back on and they work for another straight week

I haven’t run across any rock hard clay on our property yet. I’m hoping that I do not lol.

    More tractor stuff

Installed the NOS 1” spindle kit on the 1250 this afternoon. The front tires were still holding air, but pretty cracked. I figured if I had to change the wheels anyway, might as well throw some tri ribs on. They do make it easier to steer. I also had an old steering wheel spinner in the barn, so I threw that on as well.
