Got out and did some tractor work yesterday, while the ground's still frozen. I cut and piled a bunch of brush/scrub uphill from the house and wanted to get in there and get it before everything gets soft. Rolled the pile over onto a rope with the bucket, then looped it into place and hauled it down to the burn pile on the lower lot.

And then, since I was already working up on that side of the house, I figured I'd restock the wood rack for the cookstove the lazy way:

Speaking of green tractors, one of you really needs to add a restored 1935 John Deere Model B to your collection.

I've got both orange and green tractors too, but my green one is a garden tractor so it doesn't really count.

B2650 with backhoe, originally bought to dig the hole for the foundation of my new garage and was going to sell afterwards.. I will never not own a tractor. I don't know how I went 32 years without one.. It also doubles as a chicken perch when I walk away from it for five seconds so my girls enjoy it as well.

That's the size tractor I wanted, but the BX is really better suited for our needs.

I almost got the BX but I found this B26 several hours away for a few thousand bucks more with only 175 hours on it. I'm actually looking to sell and get an L-Series in the same config down the road.. We own a lot of acreage, have the critters, and buy and develop properties so the B is doing the job but an L would make it a lot faster.
I'm in the process of selling my Taco first though because I can't tow my camper or tractor with it. Need a Tundra.. SHHHH

That's why I figure on keeping the little TC18 when I upgrade; I run into a lot of instances where I need/want more power, or more lift capacity so I've been eyeballing the L2501. But the small size of the TC makes it so convenient for the tight spots around the house that I wouldn't want to get rid of it.

I have definitely maxed out the lift capacity of my BX. I lifted a 600 lb outboard motor and that was about it for my FEL.

I had to sell my Tacoma for a Tundra, but I still hang around here since the local thread is pretty active and those guys are cool. My Tacoma couldn't pull my boat comfortably.

I moved our 5400lb camper about a half mile and I swear there were tears coming out the tailpipe, she wasn't happy pulling that much uphill. I haven't even attempted the tractor, the 18' BigTex trailer alone is over 3k lbs, i'd be doing a wheelie the whole time. My husband has a Tundra and pulls everything. I feel guilty and hate depending on someone else for stuff so.. I want one too.

My husband told me before I got my Taco and, I hate to say it but, he was right. "You're gonna wish you got the Tundra.." No truer words have been spoken and now I'm having to go through weeding through the idiots to try to sell this thing.
I had two tire-kickers come look at my truck over the weekend and didn't have the balls to negotiate in person, both did it via email. The second of which I specifically told BEFORE he came over that my price was firm and if he understood, "yep!" then low balls me after he leaves. The truck is still certified, showroom new, with half the miles, $2500+ in extras, TRD package, and not a scratch, ding, or stain on it. If you can't afford the truck, go look at ones you can and stop wasting everyones time.
    Some people..

Same reason I'm still here even though I've got a 2500 now. I needed something that could work, and the Tacoma wouldn't cut it. But I like the people on this forum.

Sounds about right. Mine is rated for around 600-700 to full height, but the breakout is something like 1100. But, that's more than enough to hoist the tail if you're not careful.

I pulled my boat home from the canvas shop about an hour away with my Tacoma...I pulled up and my wife asked what the burning smells were....I got a Tundra the next week.

I thought really hard about a 2500 gas. I don't need a diesel. The gas 2500's get about the same mpg and are close to the same price as used 1500's on the used market.

And meanwhile last summer I pulled ...several... pounds more than what my truck is technically rated for, and other than pulling away from a traffic light it really didn't care.

    20190712_100215_resized (1).jpg

    20190711_114911_resized (1).jpg

But that's why I bought it; it's a beast. Of course, on the other hand, 13mpg...

Depends; I used to get 20-22 with my F150. I miss that mileage sometimes, but it couldn't plow, so...Ram. :notsure:
