Having both Kubota & Kioti..... I'm gonna say this:

In Kubota: nothing smaller than B2601 or L2501 (if I go back to Kubota only? L3901 for me!)

Kioti: for sure you want the 3510 or 4010. tractors are identical frame, just a few extra HP on the 40.

For what you are saying you are gonna do? Anything smaller than these will not have enough PTO or pump power to do what you want.

In the Kioti brand for 3 acres, I'd stick with the CK line. If your pocket book can handle it, I'd go with the CK3520SE HST or CK4020SE HST. You'd have choice of back and forth work, you'll want an HST trans over the Shuttle shift.

The DK line would be nice, lots of power, but over kill for 3 acres. More importantly if you're going to be in the trees a lot, I wouldn't want a cab tractor. Having AC and heat, a radio are nice pluses, but tree branches break cab windows and doors, and they are about $1k each to replace.

I generally think Kubotas are over priced, but this one, if it isn't a scam, is attractively priced. New that would be over $40K.

Edit: Due to the over abundance of scammers out there, I wouldn't be sending any money to hold this. But I'd call the guy and if you think it's legit, I'd race up there to get it.

KR & me are very like minded on tractors.

I agree with everything he said in that post.

Kubos are pricey. Tht 1 is probably a scam.

The Kioti 53 series is just too big for us small farm set ups.

Oh & yes if you got enough power to spare? HST is the way to go.

I run 5' tiller, 66" hog, 6' blade, stump grinder, grapple, plows, box blade & so on w/a ck4010.

yep that looks a lot like the one in use here. mounted it low down at the leg so it looks right at the grinding wheel.

if you are doing a lot of grinding its a neck saver for sure.

Well, I was looking into a new Kioti. Looks like they have 0% financing for 72 months and .99% financing for 84 months. Even with 84 month financing the payment will be about $375 a month. Need to win the lottery or find a really good deal on a older one :annoyed:
