I'm 48, bad left knee, bad left shoulder, arthritis in my hands, 3 bulging disc in my neck and they need fusing together but I keep putting it off.

Been building a deck after work, just my 12 year old son and I. Started April 6th, should be done in the next couple days.

Told my wife I'm not building anything for 2 years so I can recover, that's a lie. I'm already thinking what I can do with the left over lumber

Geez man I feel bad posting this. I'm 62, and while my life has been anything but a bed of roses I have enjoyed pretty well perfect health. I can go into work and if someone doesn't show up have to help walk more greens. The last time I did this with my GPS on it was like 9.1 miles, and that was just the start of the day. I guess I was smart enough 24 years ago, when my son was born, to start running and working out so that I would be able to keep up with him in my old age. Now with my luck I'll wake up tomorrow with a stiff back, go to the doctor and be told I need surgery, LOL.

Welp house is clean, man that 30 second cleaner is good stuff .The white is white and algae/mold is gone. Didn't even have to use the ladder. Cleaned all the porch furniture too.
Stump is still smoldering. Burned some very old paid bills. Veggies are in the garden. And mowed 2 lawns.
Tuckered out and sore, the back is screaming.
All in all a great day.

So this is the one problem I did have. I noticed over the course of time I was having trouble in my vision. It got to the point that looking at the TV screen was like looking through a windshield while raining with no wipers. Went to an ophthalmologist, he freaked out and said he was going to send me to his specialist and I would probably be in surgery by the end of the day. That doctor was like no, no surgery, you have a clot behind your retina and we will treat it with steroids. And he did so. It began with pills, and ended with the last steroid treatment being a shot where he went in through my eyelid and back behind my eye. Not fun, but I went from having 20/100 vision in that eye back to 20/20.

It's really weird. Because the spot was on the inside of my right eye the peripheral vision from my left eye negates the loss of vision there. If I close my left eye and move a finger over my right eye I get to a point where I can't see the end of my finger. There is just a loss of vision there. If it were on the right side of my right eye I'm sure I'd notice it greatly.

    Wild!

I'm glad you took the time to add a post.

As we get older, it's good to know about medical conditions that can arise, yet we really are not aware that can be a serious issue .
