Yeah, my hour meter is off. I need to add about 30 minutes for every hour that the meter says

    Yep.
    Well that's shitty.

Might be worth tossing in a new one to keep the disparity minimal before the hours rack up.

I’ll see if the dealer will do anything. Since it’s still under warranty

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
This same thing happened to me with my Scag. All of a sudden I went to mow and realized I had 40 or so more hours on my mower. I ask ed my dealer if they had heard of any of these meters malfunctioning, and he said NO. Then he explained how they are wired to the "on" and the "run" position on the key. Thinking a bit, it dawned on me it had been 4 days since I had used the tractor. around 40 or so hours. Dealer gave me a great price on a new meter -I installed it and got it back up to where it should have been. Lesson learned --"do not leave the key in the ignition switch, where it could possibly be left in the "on" spot.
Surely manufacturers don't wire them this way on purpose thinking this may happen!!??

I buy numerous tires from these 2 companies Libra and Simple, I don't buy any Carlise tires either.

It is the easiest way to power the hour meter.
I'm sure if you check the owners manual they have covered themselves by saying "don't leave the key in the machine when unattended" several times.

The wire harness and key switches are pretty basic and universal.

I can't think of a cheap way to wire up the hour meter where it would only work with the engine running.

Currently looking for a trailer that could, among other things, haul our little subcompact Kioti. I need something in the 6x14 range.

My current question is: what are people's opinions on single vs dual axle? I can easily spec a single axle trailer that would have the capacity to haul the tractor. We have a fairly tight hammerhead-style turnaround at the end of our driveway that is a little easier to manage with the tighter turn radius of a single. What do people see as pros and cons of each?

Double axle all the way… cuz of the weight…that thing prolly weighs in at 2k. and if you wanna really treat yourself… a dump trailer!! That tractor will fit in and you can do so much more with a dumper..

Make sure you add the weight up correctly, axle rating minus trailer weight and spare tire in addition to the tractor plus any add ons, QA attachments, and added implements(bucket, shredder etc)

The dual axle trailer will turn! the tires will just bite more into driveway, most folks that I know always at some point overload the single axle trailers, I'm even guilty of it.

What is the total weight with attachments?

The Sun Fs were off FB marketplace. Someone bought the wrong size. The only new ATV tires I've bought were from Chapmoto and they were Ocelots. They are good tires and have tolerated running over chopped off woody sumac stalks without puncturing. I bought a set of Sedona Ripsaws that are non-directional as well but I bought them used. for $20, also off FB. Check for used ones or new take-offs on FB, see what you can find.

    Bad-da-da-da-dah-da. bada-dada-dah-da, My Sedonas!

    upload_2021-8-16_16-24-9.jpg

ETA: The Sedonas had some worn edges so I cut some sipes across the blocks with my saw. I don't think the small cuts really give much more traction. If I did it again I'd chuck a 1/4" router bit up or put 2 saw blades on the saw and see how that did.

Total weight of tractor, loader, and ballasted tires is 2180 lbs.
I do have a front-mount snowblower for it. I think it's very unlikely that I would take the blower and the loader at the same time, but I'm sure I wouldn't be happy if I wanted to and it was overweight with both. Snowblower weighs just under 300. I could also see adding a box blade in the future, which is also ~300-350 lbs. So probably planning for 2500 lbs total would be better.

A standard 6x14 utility trailer with single axle probably might have a 3,500lb axle, so you would probably be close to max load capacity with tractor, trailer weight and spare tire and maybe some reinforced ramps.

I would lean towards a 2 axle trailer, most states require electric brakes in atleast one set of the axles, not mention if a blow out occurs, it's night and day difference with a blow out on loaded down single axle vs on multi axle trailer.

You’d be better off with a dual axle. I think it’d be difficult to find a single axle with a load rating high enough for that especially now with trailers in general being short supply

how old is your machine ? Is the hour meter and tachometer cable driven ?

cable driven tach/hour meters only read accurately at PTO rpm (2750rpm on tach =540rpm on PTO) anything lower they read slower. This is common on all cable driven tach/hour meters

if you’re is an electronic meter (digital) it’s possible the clock is off but not likely, measure against a watch, .1 of an hour is 6min
