That Looks like the same junction box I got when I rewired my trailer.

I've actually been pondering selling it lately and getting a small equipment trailer or car hauler. It's a 12x6.5 utility trailer that I put a lot of work into - new Dexter axle with brakes, new wiring, new LED lights, new jack. I could probably get some decent money out of it. It could use a nice paint job like you did, though - it's flaking in places due to light rust and should be redone before it starts eating through anything.

    upload_2022-7-22_9-41-49.jpg

The thing weighs about 1400 lbs. I figure if I'm going to have something that heavy it might as well at least be a dual axle that can haul more weight.

New trailer prices are stupid. I want a dump trailer so bad but can't bring myself to pay $7K for one.

Sold my chipper last night. Had it for maybe 10 years don’t recall. Bought used and only needed a new carb.
I’m tired of chipping branch by branch. Had plans to rent a chipper for my piles but now moving and don’t care. IF I get another it will be a 3pt but May just rent one for the new house when needed.

Instead of a 3pt chipper, I'm leaning on getting one these cutters, the one I'm looking at has a 10in cutting capacity with mulching teeth .

Me too...and I just got offered up the electric hydraulic pump and scissor mechanism off my buddies 1 ton dump truck.

Box got hit by some equipment, insurance buys him a complete box + mechanicals.

I said I was never building another dump trailer...I think I may have been wrong.

If you can get them pretty cheap that's a lot of savings right there!!!

Question, when y’all have your bush hog on your tractor, does the blade spin when your moving? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen my neighbor coming back in or moving his tractor around and the blade is turning slowly. It’s not spinning like the PTO is engaged and your up to RPM bush hogging, but just a slow spin like something may not be fully disengaged. I know on dad’s tractor when you disengage the PTO, the blade stops spinning and won’t spin until you turn it back on.

Depends on the tractor. I've seen some where the PTO shaft spins slow, most of the time it's on the ones that drive off the clutch. Mine is hydraulically driven and does not spin unless it's engaged.

A friend has an older one that I can borrow when I need to - it's definitely convenient. Until I buried it to the axles in my back yard when loaded with 7000 lbs of crushed stone. We shoveled about half of it out making small trips with the ATV and its dump cart, then we pushed it with the ATV while pulling it with the truck and got it out.

Reminds me of the time in our backyard when the enclosed trailer sank into the soft ground. Got to use my maxtrax and they worked perfect.

I may have it backwards, it may not drive off the clutch it could be hydraulic too but have a pressure leak causing it to spin. It is annoying.

Popped the engine out of my latest ZT project.

26 hp Kohler Command horizontal crank. 60" Toro Z Master.

Never hear run, but would fire dribbling gas down the the intake.

Smoked horribly out the right head gasket.

Started taking things apart to assess.

This is the 1st 20 year old Kohler that did not have the magnets let go of the flywheel! Color me surprised!

I'm still gonna heat the FW on the grill to loosen the adhesive. I'll reglue them with a decent epoxy.

The unit was dirty, but not so bad that the cooling fins were completely blocked.

Still need to pop the heads. I know the right side is blown, but if I'm going that deep, both sides are getting replaced.

Standby for updates. Tomorrow is is out of the question, but hopefully Monday.

The stator is shorted, so a new charging coil will be needed. No biggie, they are easy to change.

I forgot about this hot mess. Kinda hard to remove the exhaust from the head when you got this welding abortion to deal with.PXL_20220722_192347403.jpg PXL_20220722_192359257.jpg
