I've had luck with the China carbs for Tecumseh engines. They too had adjustable jets like the old style pre-emissions bullcrap.

Doing some "rag on/rag off" cleaning of the underside of this unit.

Glove felt something sharp and didn't think it was a twig.

Found one of the hydro hoses has some abrasion thru the rubber and into the braiding. Time for new hoses. Might as well change them both.

    There goes another hundy...

I put almost a gallon on it. I didn't thin it out, it was so hot I had no problem spraying it. I used Rust-Oleum.

I just found this on HFT on sale. I think it would work really well for popping the deck belt on my mower.

A regular 1/2" ratchet would probably work about the same.

My Cub XT1 uses a 3/8". However the space is pretty tight and you need a lot of leverage to move the tensioner pulley. I think this slim tool would fit a little easier and provide more leverage.

Although, a 3/8" breaker bar would be more useful and probably fit pretty well especially with the swivel head. HFT probably has a 3/8" breaker for not much more than that pulley tool.

Question for the suspension experts: I had to change out my tandem axles on the trailer, and the closest springs I found was these (see picture). Should I switch those out for ones an inch longer or will this do?IMG_20220802_2015238.jpg

Put a jack under each spring and jack up in parallel. As long as the links are vertical or close to vertical, they will work fine .

    I agree.
If the trailer bounces and the wheels come off the ground the shackles can over center.
    That’s not good.
You really need some angle rearward.

This is what mine look like with tires on the ground.

I say yours are too short because when I jacked mine up to paint it the springs fell to the bottom and I had a heck of a time getting them back on top, yours look like they would be really easy to get back on top the way it sits telling me they are too short.

We really can't tell until you put weight on them.

    Jack up and report back.

New Trailer! 16 ft, 6k GVWR, nice ramps, brakes on both axles. Weighs about 1760, so figure 4200 payload once I add a small toolbox for tie downs to the front.
