I have a problem with the carb bowl on my $free.99 riding mower. It's a Briggs motor.

    PXL_20220731_173414237.jpg

It's dripping off of the circled bit below.

    PXL_20220731_173459684~3.jpg

Do I just tighten that with an allen key? Or take off the bowl completely with the phillips head screws in the flange at the top of the bowl?

Give everything in the area a good wipe down, run the engine, observe and report back.

I clamped off the fuel line because it's pretty much running out.

I don't know if it's supposed to have a valve in the bottom or not.

If it helps y'all any, it a Briggs PowerBuilt 10.5 horse.

I did just get down and look underneath and I don't think that bit where it was dripping has any threads.

Was the engine running? Maybe bowl gasket leaking or float stuck, cracked line leaking down. I see some have some kind of sensor on them and some just plain like yours.

I pulled the line off, it's fine. I don't know about the gasket because I can't even get the screws cracked loose with a stubby screwdriver. Should I even take the bowl off? I kind of want to be sure before I get medival on it.

Can you get the model and serial number off this? With them we can get a parts diagram.
