Does that affect the heat treat of the metal? Or does it even matter?

so just had to re-do our dirt road with the ol DR power grader hooked to an old club cadet mower. and now im looking for a 4x4 tractor of some sort to make it less frustrating. just when you get a good grab of dirt you start spinning tires. :annoyed:

I don't think a Kubota ever goes out of demand.
They are just so "right sized" for a homeowner.

At one time I thought a backhoe would be handy to have around, preferably something like an old DynaHoe, they have Detroit 2 stroke diesels after all, can't get much more fun than that. ;);)

Finally I realized that the smallest one weighs 14,000 pounds! A 50 year old backhoe is a really dumb thing to buy on a hilly 14 acre piece of ground to essentially be a snow mover.

    images.jpg

While no Kubota is on my short term financial horizon, it would be a far wiser purchase.

IDK, I couldn't see the value when I bought my Kioti. The Kabota was $5k more, two less HP:deadhorse: and the loader had 500#less lift capacity.

That's one of the most reasonably priced Kabotas I've ever seen.

I mean we can play that game with anything. Tractors, trucks, or cola...etc. Point is kubotas are recognized for being one of the most preeminent Japanese manufacturers of small to medium sized tractors in the world.

I'm glad you like your kioti, their decent tractors. They should be.

I don't know that kubotas have ever been the "best" at anything, thats not really what makes a kubota a kubota.

I was about to say it sounds like an estate sale deal. Kubota with a fel is never a $2000 dollar tractor. Even one thats burnt to the ground.

    Great score.

    Definitely a great score!
Oh, I know Kabotas is the big kid on the block and have been on the block for a long time. I don't really care who is number 1 in the market, so long as Kioti remains in it, so I can still get parts for it if I ever need them. I was unwilling to pay more based on the assumption that I will be able to sell it for more later. I personally tend to hang onto things until they die and for a while longer after that. So that marketing ploy didn't go very far with me.

Not me. I run what speedway pumps out. Modern diesel should have the adequate lubricants mixed in.

I only use about 4 gallons a year anyways, so I will be dead before it matters anyways.

I didn't buy a kubota for its resale. I bought it because I expect it to work. The old ones have a reputation for doing just that.

Anyone buys anything because a commercial told them to is a moron.

You have an orange tractor, you're cool with me.
