I've heard people at work talk about their HOA's. They can't even park a utility trailer in their yard and some require certain flowers at certain times of the year.

My 1 acre lot butts up to a HOA subdivision. I make sure they can clearly see into my yard and the equipment I can park anywhere I want.

We have a large development across the street that is HOA, I park stuff in my front yard at times. Gooseneck with tractor loaded on it, stuff for sale, etc.

And now we return you to the previously scheduled programming . . .

Looking for some other stuff, I came across this article this morning. I think it could probably be titled better, like "17 things to keep in mind about ZTR's".
But it does seem to have a good bit of useful info, and for me as a newbie to ZTR's I picked up a few more tidbits that I didn't know.

Do you really need a zero-turn mower? 17 reasons why you may not want one

I think it takes longer to read this wordy article than to learn to drive a ZT

I believe the write up is a bit dated and too verbose to consider this usefully data for a person thinking if they need a ZT or conventional mower.

    Thanks for linking the add.

I think once you drive/own a ZT for a little bit you'll wonder how you ever did without one. ZT's are awesome!!!

Some rentals we were looking at the HOA wouldn’t allow work vehicles with logos on the side to park in driveways overnight. Freaking stupid.

I would never buy a new tractor for mowing after having a ZT.

I did another 15 minutes in the back yard this morning, covering all the open areas and getting pretty close to some of the obstacles. And I was at full throttle most of the time :). I wasn't really cutting any grass, just mulching a light cover of leaves. I've always kept them mulched in every few days this time of year to keep as much sun on the lawn as possible. And now having Boxer (the Weimaraner) for the past two years getting rid of the brown leaves makes it much easier to find the other stinky brown stuff :crapstorm:.
Steering control seems to be considerably improved for me with the steering control levers being effectively 2 inches shorter/lower.

Recent customer of mine blew out a spindle and asked me repair.

Didn't tell me he had a big dog and just pulverized the turds.

Found that out when doing the repair. Told him I wish I knew ahead of time so I could have pressure washed ahead of time.

He felt so bad he gave me an extra $200.

Told him he was welcome have me fix his stuff anytime he wanted

We try to follow behind him shortly after the deed to keep it picked up. We play with him a lot in the back and don't want him or us stepping in it. Plus I hate getting poo stuck in the mower tires... the old Snapper or the new Scag.. from any "phantom" piles that we somehow missed or forgot about. Gotta hose that off or else the whole garage stinks! :annoyed:

EDIT: I meant to post his picture and I forgot. . .
