Try your local NAPA store for the drum, if it ships on their truck the freight is usually included.

Took the tractor in today, dropped it off. They are going to warranty it, or filing a claim.

Might be looking for an older, bigger tractor.

Thanks creed. Either way it will be repaired. I’m just a little bummed that it wasn’t a little tougher. Don’t get me wrong, I used the tractor to it’s full potential, but I do not abuse most things in my life. (Jeep aside)

It's kind of depressing how easy it is to bend the new ones. We used to run a shackle through the end of one arm of my dad's Ford (picture below) when I was a kid, chain it up, and use it to pop stumps big enough that you'd hoist the opposite (loaded!) tire on the rear and it never even blinked. But I know a couple of people that have tweaked the loaders on their newer tractors just lifting a big rock on one side of the bucket instead of centered.

I got a friend who bought a loader that’s bent, it’s a New Holland. He ask me to help him cut it apart at the bend and weld it back together. It’ll be a fun project.

My former boss bent the loader frame on his JD badly enough that the pins on the quick-attach system they use wouldn't line up. He was was plowing snow and hooked one corner of the plow on a big rock, just enough to bounce the front of the tractor sideways a little bit and trigger the trip edge on the plow. He never thought twice about it until it was time to swap the plow out for the bucket in the spring.

Well these stories give me a flippen warm and fuzzy.

Busy day. Replaced the DEF tank on the Dmax (recall), hauled some items, then hauled the tractor to the dealership.

Next trailer will be a tilt bed or enclosed. Humping these ramps 6 times a day suck.

I don’t roll coal in mine either but I’m glad it’s before emissions on diesels. I know several mechanics who come in our store and it doesn’t matter who makes it, they all have trouble....eventually.

But that can be said with everything

I do envy your white beast. I tried to buy a 06.5-07.5 LBZ truck, but for what people wanted for low mileage 10 year old trucks, it was only about 10k less than a brand new truck. Crazy.

I ran into the same problem when I went to replace my 7.3. LBZ’s were crazy money for a truck platform that will cost you $1k a year in maintenance minimum for a bunch of little dumb 15 year old GM problems...been there and done that before. Ended up in a 6.7 Ford and just going to live with the quiet, stock, emissions system.

That’s why I ended up buying my 2017 in December of 2018. I found a used 2017 with 10k miles for about $8k less than a brand new truck. I just lucked up finding it, I called the dealer I bought it at to see what they could do on a new truck they had on the lot. The truck I was calling about was already sold and they had just took this one in on trade. Used truck prices have been crazy the last few years and the slow new car production due to corona has increased used prices even more. All of the tractor dealers around here are sitting empty more or less too.

That’s a damn fact. On the Tundra site guys have been selling their used trucks for what they paid or even more.

The Kubota and JD dealerships I seen today had around 100 machines on the lot....hummmmmm. Money making opportunities. Hook up the 28’ lowboy and be like Tractor Santa to the south.

I used to be a Ford guy until I bought my first Duramax. The one I have now, I have too much in it to sell it. New brakes, stainless lines, had the transmission built (was limping when pulling stuff), have new fuel lines (leaking) and a lift pump to install when I can find time. I don’t drive it much, mainly to haul a tractor back and forth to where we hunt. I had 2 of the 7.3’s, they were hard to beat
