It's all simple. When you first get in there, you have everything setup for what you already have. It's all nice and organized. Then you collect more, and more, and it just goes to shit from there. Then you have a mess on your hands and you just give up. Spoken from experience; you don't even want to see my mess

I'm on an 8 year deep clean. Every 8 years I tear it all apart and sell or junk things I haven't touched in 3 years.

After spending all of last week cleaning, Im quite happy with the results.

Even had time to finish my grapple bucket...mostly. I still need to take it apart and install hardened pins for all the pivots. I may want to change the upper jaw ram mount.

Here is a vid if you are bored.

The K57 transaxle needed some love on my dad’s Husky. Right at 700 hours and it started going soft on me when I cut the grass at his house last weekend. The old fluid was original and definitely looked like a Kesha concert with fine glitter everywhere. But new 10w-50 in it and it seemed happy afterwards…but time will tell how it does.

Weird working/using the Husky compared to my JD 318. The Husky is light enough to slide the nose turning hard in wet grass and one end be picked up by yourself for service. Couldn’t even dream of that on the JD that weighs 800lbs and change. The modern deck is definitely nice though compared to the original JD deck in terms of mulching and being able to cut better at faster speeds

Previous owner welded on a trailer hitch. Needs to come off before I can install the blower drive belt.

Vac system was bought separate from the mower.

That's a rat snake. Copperheads are shorter, fatter, and have Hershey's kisses markings.

Just looked, apparently we have Copperheads in Pa. -- along with 20 other snakes -- terrific...

(...well, I know what this evenings nightmare will be at least... 21 snakes... WTH)

I will remember the Hershey's kisses identification, thanks!

I thought it looked too long and skinny, but the color made me think copperhead.

I just spent a huge chunk of the AM getting some nasty HD carpet and carpet fiber off two of my ZT mower spindles. It was tight on there. Kinds glued on and nasty stinky. Uggh.

    Lol. I can top that.

Customer I sold a ZT mower. Hit a rock and smoked the spindle. I was a little annoyed since this unit has woodruff key in the spindle, the key did not shear, but the key way sure did. Complete assembly was required.

Anyways, got the unit up on the hoist and started to remove the blade. Hit with a wall if dig shit aroma! Customer had 2 great Danes and would run over the piles( I probably would do the same if I had the amount of property he has).

Anyways. I let that shit (no pun intended) dry for a couple days before I got back to it.

He did give me an extra hundy for dealing with the smell. Which I thought was pretty fair.
