That time of year. First fall with the ZTrax and the cyclone I used to use on my old SCUT. Work in progress as I’m not happy with how it attaches to the mower hitch. BBE034F0-1A48-4089-87B4-82526AA86A2C.jpg

I've been wanting to do this with one of my Toro units. Only difference is I want to try making one with a deck driven blower as as well as hopper mounted blower. It would be uncloggable...I hope. I've never seen it done before.

It's gonna sit till my next vacation starting Thanksgiving. I wanted my 3205 done on this one but got a gut bug Thursday. Been down for the count and just started being able to eat some toast today.

Sick is bad -- sick on vacation much worse. (Convenient for the job however)
    Hope you feel better soon.:fingerscrossed:

Thanks fellas. This knocked me down hard. Just sitting up yesterday exhausted me to the point of having to take a nap. I felt like I slept for an hour but the wife told me each time was 10-15 minutes. Did that all day. Belly is sore today. Cautiously adding food.

My brother is a pyro, he lit probably 20 burn piles on my place and spent all day on the tractor, lol.

Some of these piles were not small.

Long day of work on getting the shop roof trim done. Tractor came in super handy yet again for snaking the boom lift through the woods in the yard compared to trying to do it with the dually

Split the rest of my wood for the season. Now to stack it.
I had cut a bunch of 20” rounds in the spring, did some noodling to break them down. 5A84DA2C-8D04-45BC-9CA1-DF8AFBD6FAB1.jpg B7238729-558D-4C90-A0A1-50D1946944FD.jpg 61700F27-D1BD-4E74-A1A1-E804AE79F04E.jpg ABC78A16-B7C8-4258-B322-88C46468844B.jpg

Cranked on the shop all weekend and made huge progress getting it closed up at the roof. The previous homeowner made some really odd choices with the trusses that I had to go back through and fix.

The dog is wildly confused by the man lift:

I had a Trac-Vac on my previous zero turn, I spent more time unclogging the hose than I did getting leaves up but it beat a rake and a tarp.

Last year I bought the used Hustler with a vac system and deck driven blower. 99% of the time it gets clogged is cause I'm not paying attention and the hopper gets full. The Trac-Vac was nice cause it held more but it was more trouble.

I usually put on a board across the discharge, new mulching blades, and mulch the leaves in often as needed.

it is a future option but fall leaves are a major source for my compost pile. Without them I won't have the volume for my black gold production. I can always make windrows and pick them up with the suction tube, they just wont be broken down as much.

When I was a kid my parents had a giant garden. The town collected leaves with their vac truck and dumped them in the garden, 15 or so loads every year.

We spread them in the fall and rototilled them in the spring. The garden is long gone and there haven't been any leaves dumped there in at least 40 years but the grass still grows like crazy.
