    I have had my little ZT stuck enough times over the years I have considered a small ATV type winch for it. I have lived on this hill for almost 30 years and fought with it all the way.

    ZT + slope + mud = :censored::rant:<< Rusty

    Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do Tractors have a Title through the motor vehicle bureau?

    Garden, compact and small farm tractors no. I have never been to an auction where a title was mentioned for any kind of tractor or farm equipment, it might depend on the state.

    I have seen contractor owned backhoes with licence plates on them, seems that driving them job to job is less of a hassle than getting a heavy enough truck and trailer -- and the CDL licence and insurance to haul them.

    Have you thought of putting ATV tires on it? It changed my XT3 like night and day on my hilly property

    Are we talking a garden tractor or a farm tractor here?

    I ran the original tires bald on it and did consider a more aggressive tread, I didn't know how much damage it would do to the lawns with zero turn mower.

    I use the ZT for the in town lawns now, I have the $100 New Holland (that I spent $1000 on :crazy:) here at home.

    On my XT3 it will only tear the grass if you are flying around turns and I think I tear it more with the deck wheels to be honest. I don't know on a ZTR though due to how they turn. I know in general ZTRs are a bit tougher on the turf.

    This year has been really bad for damaging the lawns, the ground was so wet all season. I have marks on all the lawns, old places that have been lawn for 100 years.

    You have to do "k" turns with heavy treaded tires on a ZT. No turns or you will gouge the shit out of the turf.

    You lose a little time, but it's still waaay faster than mowing with a rider mower.

    I could never go back to a tractor for daily mowing. My little 42" CC is fairly slow for a ZT but will easily run rings around any 42" rider on an in town lawn.
    The New Holland I use at home is a 42" but the spaces are larger and I only mow up here 1/2 as often as the town lawns -- and it is paid for so it works out.

    I think this is the last " new" motor in the country. I'm guessing all the rest are doing laps out in the ocean.

    Harbor Freight claims they still carry these, but I haven't seen one in a store in 15 months.

    I found this one in a nearby pawn shop. Still in the box, never ran.
