Is that the display engine? Any in boxes on the shelves?

Funny, I was just gonna quote that earlier post about them being in stock on the 23rd.

I didn't see anymore in boxes, but they may have had some in the back. There really wasn't a spot for boxed ones.

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a 25-35 hp tractor with bucket loader. Needs to have 4wd everything else after that is a bonus.
Im not to brand loyal, I've had JD, Cub Cadet, Scag, Kubota, and currently World Lawn 60" 0-turn.
But this size tractor is a little more foreign to me so any help as to what to look for is greatly appreciated.
Im most likely going to go used and around $12-15k budget, really wondering if there is anything specific I should look for or stay away from.

Also, I have brush hog that conveyed with the property, so that's taken care of too.

Side note: primary use is going to be general property maintenance, brush hogging, hauling trees out to cut/split, etc.

I know @HolyHandGrenade always seems to be working on a tractor or parting out an old F series that I see on Instagram. If there was a decent deal up that way I could make that drive pretty easy.

Chief I don't know much beyond GTs but I will eventually buy a Yanmar tractor in that size based on my research.

My wife and I spent the night at the inlaws. Came home around 3PM. I built a 3pt receiver hitch that bolts to my 3225's drawbar. All my implements are sleeve hitch so I built a sleeve hitch adapter as well. Still need to weld a couple 1/2 nuts to the adapter but it's pretty much done. I ran 6013 rod on it.

Any of the big names are good, any dealers around you? That helps with parts if you need them.

A dealer local is good, but in my experiance they usually don’t stock much more than service parts, and even that can be spotty. Given that a Kubota dealer near me is 20 miles in every direction and even with my driving everywhere for work on a daily basis, getting there is tough. (Only open til noon 1pm on Saturday )
A dealer that sells online is of better service.
Even local dealer, if they don’t have it, they’re gonna order it and charge shipping, screw that, I can sit in my recliner, look at parts manuals and order my own junk still be charged shipping but I don’t have to go and deal with someone who just doesn’t usually want to be bothered. If I order the wrong part, well, now I have an extra and nobody to blame but me.
$12 shipping on an $8 belt still chaps my ass….. and I drove 23 miles for the pleasure

    Same for me.

I got a local ass hat lawn mower shop that has no inventory! Yet the locals think he is the real deal because he is the only one local.

He does exactly what we do. Find the parts diagram and order the part.

I don't get worked up about a dealer not being local.

Just make sure the manuals are readily available. In my experience, John Deere is kind of a pain to get manuals for.

Primarily Kubota dealers in the general 20 mile radius, just like @Blkvoodoo said hard to get there when they are open with work.
But i have a couple days off this week so I'll try and get out to them.

Lately when I run around town looking for a part I end up empty handed, return home and order it online. I burned more gas running around than shipping would cost and wasted half a day.

    Same,
JThomas parts is where I end up getting most of the smaller parts for the mower, not any more $ than anywhere else but free shipping and usually shows up in 2 days.

My local JD dealer always has belts in stock for my 318…which is awesome when you torch a belt mid mow…but I agree that dealer proximity is one of the lower priorities for me in picking out a machine. Getting the right machine with good long term parts availability would be my #1 focus.

It’s like buying a Chrysler product on the premise of the Chrysler dealer being closer than the Toyota dealer.

I thought people bought Chrysler products because they enjoyed walking....

More seriously: A handy dealer is great if you are buying new and have a warranty.
Buying used it comes down to access to the information and parts availability. I can get parts standard shipping in 1 or 2 days from Messicks, that is the type support you need.

BTW: For long time followers of the thread -- they didn't send me a Christmas card, after the :bucket: of money I sent them so I could mow the damn lawn this year.

    :):)
