    @koditten

I was rushed out the door this morning so no measurements. But I did snag a couple of pictures.

I'd just bolt a truck bed box on the front. It's a great place to store tie downs, and basic tools.

I bed it backs up nice like it is.

I've thought of that as well.

Is there anything else aside from what has already been mentioned that you would address?

I also plan to wash it down really well and get rid of any rust. Then roll on some bed liner type paint.

I just hope it is not trying to make a turd shiny... I think it still has some life left in it and just needs to be revitalized.

Would it be worth taking the angle braces off the tongue and having them catch 2 points on each side under the trailer?

That's actually a very viable option. A little more involved than simple tlc, but not out of the question.

Well Spring time is slowly coming upon us so I needed to get some oil filters for the mower. I refuse to pay $15 for a Kohler filter. Another thread finally gave me a part number of a compatible shorty filter. Came in yesterday.

    Cute little thing!

And compared to a regular filter...

Seems kinda small to go on a 22HP twin Kohler, but I have space constraints and the filters I've tried rub against the steering linkage. So, a shorty filter is what I'm gonna be stuck with...

Took my 10 year old out and had my father-in-law to change a disc one the harrow that I cracked, he has had it for 30 plus years(it has been cracked for 20 but I finished it off). We took it apart and re greased the bushings and put it back together. We get it done and he asked me how much was the disc, I tell him 50.00 and he tells me he paid 50.00 for it from a friend “.

I run my Tacoma 2.7L oil filters on my 3 Kohler Command V-twin horizontal shafts.

    Same here.

Toyota has been using the same filter for 30+ years. It's the same as the Kohler filter, just a lot cheaper.

New Toyota vehicles are using a paper cartridge now, so those don't work.

The shorter filters are fine. Most residential mowers are recommended to have the oil and filter changed at 20 hours, hence the shorter filter. The commercial mowers have a better air filter system so they stretch the oil filter and oil changes out to 100 hours with the longer filter. (Seems like a long time IMO)

I have seen the 100 hour recommendation on residential CC tractors/ZTs with the Courage engine -- seemed way out of line to me. Many average home owners won't go 100 hours in several years. Of course many folks see "100 hours" (or 10,000 miles ;)) and don't read anything after that - 1 year or 10 they can go 100 hours...

Asking a heck of a lot out of 2 quarts of oil IMO.
I do 50 hours on my Courage engine ZT, still trucking after 15 years.:fingerscrossed:

Unfortunately for me there's a space constraint. Cub Cadet decided to put that stupid steering shaft in the way. So I gotta run with a stubby...

I run a 50 hour interval on my Onan or a mowing season. I think I did 40 hours last year because it was so dry all year.

Does anyone have suggestions for a towable yard rake for picking up sticks and debris? I’m pretty heavily wooded and really don’t feel like picking it all up by hand this spring. Can go behind either my 318 or on the 3pt of the 9N

I don't usually find myself saying this -- I needed more weight, my @$$ wasn't heavy enough... The old Ford weighs 797 pounds with no attachments.

Fortunately I have enough junk around for these situations, this added about a quick 40 pounds.

    KIMG1976.jpg

... which was no match for a foot of snow and a side hill...

    KIMG1975.jpg

I had to use the snowblower to get the tractor out. Stupid snow.

Cut out the rust holes. Welded on patch panels. and primered.

I so no reason to do a better job blending the seams. It won't make this unit sell for more money.

I want to get the final coat of paint on it and get it to the road.

A comparable stump grinder rents for $100/day by me so that seems like a lot of rental days to make up that cost
