These were $289 each, I have learned if you want tires to last a long time, buy good ones to begin with. I hate trying to save $30 now and regretting it 5 years from now.

I’ve had it appraised at $7k as is. I don’t completely agree with that as I don’t have the original brass carburetor. It runs extremely well and everything functions as expected. I was thinking to list it at $6.5k and haggle to $6k. I’m in Illinois right now which as you can imagine has a considerable green and yellow following.

So I’m a little surprised with that number, if I’m being honest. I would have guessed a bit more like 10k.

Very nice work, and impressed with the detail.

I totally get the green and yellow. Almost purchased one for myself. On my recent trips to MT, ND, SD, & WY I seen a lot of Case tractors with tracks.

Got everything I can get done on my revised loader without having my curl cylinder. Gusseted and welded up. Everything square and lined up perfect. Gonna order my cylinder and hoses tonight.

Had a little wash out beside the store and the neighbor. Had a friend who digs graves bring us some dirt. Need to sow it now.

Went to my tractor today. I think I found the main culprit. The transmission screen was crammed full of flakes of something...

Priority valve filter screen was dirty too, but none of these flakes

    KIMG1997.jpg
    KIMG1998.jpg

    What could it be?
Looks like some sort of friction disk? Clutch? Something from the transmisson?
Transmission is running fine, though :notsure:

How’s your brakes? Looks like a brake disc, the older Deere’s had wet brakes on them.

It's hard, grey/brown colored and it's not magnetic. Looks like it's made of fiber

Interesting... Well, I suppose that if I had a busted clutch disc, the transmission would slip?

    No problems braking either...

these brake discs are located in the transmission as well? Before taking a look in the transmission, how do I go about checking on them?

If it has wet brakes the disc would be on the outside of the transmission on the axle but the fluid would go to them as well, if they’re wet.

well, now that I seem to have something loose somewhere, I'll pay attention this summer to if I start having issues with the transmission or the brakes

I don’t have access to many photos right now. I used it to plow my 360 foot long driveway as well as the cul-de-sac before I moved back into the city. The first week I was in the city I got up early and plowed two blocks of side walks for people in front of their house. Made lost of friend that morning. Right now it is sitting in my garage in YYC. Love that tractor. Starts every time. Got to love 6volt. It might take a few starter button push’s but she always starts ever at -30c after sitting for weeks and months. I think the oil pan seal needs to be replaced.

You can back up closer to stuff with a round one. The one downfall to round is they are easy to bend. I have a 6’ Woods Brushbull and the back is all bent up from backing over small trees next to the creek. I need to get the big pipe wrench and bend it back out.
