Here's the one in my 3205. If the date on the bar code is right this thing is a beast.

That has similar specs as the one i linked. I noticed it lists in amp hours and not CCA as well.

Mine is rated 1/2 as much as the ones you guys have which seems correct as it just about half as thick as a regular mower battery.
It whips that Vanguard over -- real nice running engine by the way. The thing is so satisfying to run, it makes brush disappear.

    No, she didn't.

Six pounds of fearless, I have to mow around her with the tractor, she won't move.
13 years old now and slowing down a bit but still tough as a boot, just doesn't have so much to prove anymore.

I keep a maintainer on my mower year round cause of what you said earlier, mower batteries don’t last long these days.

High limb saw round 2. 20ft up, 25ft long, 7" diameter. I undercut the limb heavily from both sides lifting UP on the rope on the bottom stroke and letting it stay limp on the down(pulling back). Got the wife and we finished the cut in a few minutes. The limb cracked and split and then we continued and it cut thru and laid on the cut end. I lifted the end on the ground and it fell.

Cut it up with the little poulan, palletized the debris and dumped it on the burning brushpile. Now I can fell the blackjack oak standing behind it that has been a pinch point for my driveway around my wellhouse.

Thanks. I will say this: This thing has a learning curve. I highly suggest cutting a few limbs where you can reach them when(not if) it gets stuck. I suspect many of these are stuck way up in trees rusting away.

You can't hoss this thing. When it sticks you have to baby it gently going back and forth 1/2-1" until whatever stuck it cuts loose. It is also critical to keep the chain inline with the angle of the cut. I still need practice with it.

When I had it over the limb and the chain was low I sprayed it with oil before dragging it over the limb. I wish I could oil it during the cut but once it starts it's down in the limb and not gonna come out until the cut is done.

I hope this is the cause of my no charge situation on the Toro. Key switch has seen better days.

I went ahead and dropped that 16" thick blackjack oak. Rigged for a cable pull and it landed exactly where I wanted it 30deg to the left of its lean.

Here's why I like the pallet on my forks. I have it strapped to the bucket so it won't slide off. My wife would make a pile of limbs and I would pull up and she would roll them on the pallet. Then I could just dump them on the burnpile. This tree was a bramble and I got all the debris burned.

Well, here is the result of me and my wife's hard work. A good 10ft more area between the wellhouse and woods. I used the 3240 loader and 3225 with box blade to haul some gravel up and level/widen it.

Hopefully the trashtruck will stop trenching my yard backing up to straighten up and I won't have to worry about the UPS man taking the gutter down. I have almost ran into that tree dozens of times since I had my wellhouse rebuilt. Glad to get it down.

This is the main reason I want my trees down! Have already cut down about 40 and have about 30 more to go!

I live in the woods so the loss is minimal but it will cut down on a little bit. I thought I was gonna have to rent a lift and take that tree down from the top. So glad I was able to get it down and not on top of the wellhouse. The high limb saw saved me a bunch of money.

That looks like a great days work. I love seeing and feeling a noticeable difference after a project like that.

I'm looking at doing something similar. I plan to take down a dozen or so trees this year that are making a mess. In addition to the usual obnoxious smaller debris, they're dropping arm sized limbs dropping near the heat pump condenser or on the roof. They need to go. That will add more light to the back yard too.

I had an excavating guy come look at the driveway. He recommended crushed asphalt because it will resist erosion better than gravel. I agree. But crushed asphalt is a lot harder to maintain yourself. I think I'd still prefer gravel and just get a sleeve hitch box blade to pull behind the GT54 or a full sized one to pull behind the NH TC40DA. The NH isn't mine though. It is a family members that I am able to use. I'm hesitant to spend a bunch of money to get implements for equipment that isn't mine.

I initially was going to use my XT3 for mowing and grading but then realized I needed to have a mower as my 3-4 acres can get out of hand quickly. That's why I ended up buying my 3240 to use as my tractor so I could save the XT3 just for mowing. Can you afford a used GT? I have found all 3 of my Cub 3000s for $400-550 each.
