I really hate working on other peeps stuff. This was dropped off. I was told

    Won't start.

    Won't go into neutral/push mode.

Last time it was ran, the deck wouldn't engage. Owner estimated 4 years ago.

    Found:

Varnished up solenoid needle valve-fixed- runs great.

Idler pulley for the the deck belt was installed with the bushing on the wrong side- Removed and installed correctly-Deck engages properly, but...

Found the blades installed upside down and they were brand new-removed and installed correctly.

Found these are the wrong, fucking blades!
They hit each other randomly. Now I know why they were installed upside down!

I hope I never meet who did this work. Could be a FUPA punch involved!

    ZjW0e3pbdxAvkJAQ5WzCSbJe1KKhwN-Mn7vI6kc9_6640fda5e00ec4d7a09cb6730dda5d08ef5298c9.jpg

    Edit:. Mystery deepens.

Found that the spindle housing for the deck had been repaired. Results were the spindle is 1/4" too close to the center spindle.

I'm gonna grind an 1/8" off the ends of the blades.

This turd isn't worth new blades.

At least the CC blades are easy to get.
TSC usually has them in stock.

I used to laugh at “This side up” stamped on things that were blatantly obvious. Thinkin’ who in their right mind wouldn’t know that.

It's a water day for trees and wildlife. We need rain bad!! I see a small shower off in the distance, it's not headed my way. :mad:After 8 days between the wildlife and evaporation, many of the tubs were dry. Less than 3.5in here all year, pray for rain!

It's strange not having cows, every time you would start the tractor they would come greet you, sometimes a pita when working on the tractor, but I miss them. My farm neighbor is taking 3 seperate herds to auction, no one can afford to keep them with hay bales at $130 each, atleast the small operations can't or ya pay more in feed than what the cows are worth.

Half that cost, and no one had to feed hay all year long either.

Don’t even get me started. Just look what’s happening to all the farmers in Europe. Some are being forced to get rid of their land and livestock by law, not by choice.

Here’s probably the most well known story about giving up their cattle:
    https://www.westernjournal.com/second-generation-dairy-farmer-forced-cull-95-herd-environmental-regulations/
This article provides a general overlook:
    https://www.farmersjournal.ie/dutch-government-moves-to-buy-out-farmers-707601

    https://winepressnews.com/2022/07/0...-30-of-their-livestock-to-meet-climate-goals/
Some of these articles claim some of these actions are “voluntary” but they’re almost always not.
