im dangerous on a skid steer. been upside down twice... so gonna go with tractor. its all about what your gonna do with it.

BUT: i use a grapple on my tractor a lot during wood & storm season. im usually alone, so its super easy after you drop a tree to pick it up with the grapple, hold it in the air & cut 5' logs off each side & then you have a 5' in the middle. dont know how we ever got by with out it. LOL

& i DONT have the extra remotes on the front. mine is a mechanical grapple that works perfect, but thats a different subject for a different post.

as KRamerica & a couple of the other guys said: i would pass on the big combo deal= because ive already got implements. If YOU got implements & dont need the extra plumbing? that second tractor is a super good asking price.

now as to capacity & lifting: everybody has an opinion. the 3200 has plenty of strength to lift anything safe for the tractor.
you find out the limits more by usage than what the book says. Kubota puts a big margin of weight in their tractors.

huge into tractors & look for good deals everyday: these 3200's are quick sellers & getting harder to find in this type of condition.
it cost me right at 1k last time to have a tractor shipped to me, so if ya cant go get it? remember to ad that money to your prices.

if anyone wants to know about the mechanical grapple? let me know & will post it.

wow that was fast! dont want to steer the other fella away from getting you guys input on his tractor search.. will try to keep this short.

ok ,now im on Kubota's & Kioti's with QA skid steer connect..... NOT JD's... but it mechanically operates the same. they have dealers at most good tractor sellers or they will ship to your door for freight.

this is was first used on my B2601 Kubota & now i use it on the CK4010 Kioti. If my counterweights are on the back? can pick up around 2,500lbs with it. Thats the limit of my Hydraulic lift power on the front end. Thats a LOT of log! when its being used a lot? i can pick up individual pieces of firewood, rocks, tires, pipe, culverts, beams, railroad ties, blocks & so on. (mine was less than $1,600 new, not sure what they cost now)

Getting ready to make myself a 3 point hitch adapter like what you have there.

Does anyone have a 3 point quick hitch? I'd like to make my adapter quick hitch compatible although I don't have one. Looking for the necessary dimensions.

Quick hitches aren’t universally universal, one brand or another won’t easily interface without some adjustment or finagling in a lot of cases. Just fashion your hitch to work in the 3pt, they’re easy and light to remove in most cases.

also beware, if you do quick hitch and then add tow hitch, even if the hitch just goes into 3pt, a heavy trailer will push you down hill, you may or may not have steering in the process.

my lil B2400 was pushed across my back yard into fence by my 3500lb popup camper (420lb tongue weight). It was a not fun ride.

That sounds scary! Thinking emergency procedure would be to drop the bucket and let it dig in. Maybe raise the 3 point to drag the back of the trailer?
How big is the B2400? I have a compact (not sub) JD.

I've not lost steering before, but I have had too much on the loader and lost traction/breaks in the back before going down a steep hill. That's some scary shit. The only thing you can do is drop the loader down or try to ride it down. Not fun either way.

yeah man thats a bad deal for ya....

if ya didnt care about the stuff on the trailer you could drop the 3 point & drag the tongue/jack like a plow to slow ya down.

gotta be careful if ya drop the bucket, if it digs in? you are a catapult. yikes!

on the quick hitch: you gottta know if you need wide or narrow & get the right one for your tractor.

the Kubota 2601 has a landpride QH05 on it, the bigger Kioti has a QH20 on it. for me, they are fantastic & time savers because im an army of one in my tractor ventures. so its all about staging & having it to where you can back up, grab it & pull out without ever leaving the seat. THEN if it runs on PTO? you just have to hook up the shaft when you are in a good spot.

the guys over at OTT have lots of info & its a good site like this one. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/

Do they let guys with the better orange tractors participate in their social commune with them?:anonymous:

I tried the QH from HF, but it didn't work well because my implements are not all the same width and the top link didn't fit right. I just put Pat's Easy Change setup on the tractor. It's not as quick as a QH as you still have to get off the tractor, but much much better than nothing at all.

    KR,

yeah man its a great site. they let everybody on there, MF, AC, JD, Frd, Kioti, Kubota.... if its a tractor. now of course if you dont have a Kubota? they might tease ya a bit. They tease me cause i sold my small Kubota & kept the Kioti. :) but im still family over there & have Kubota implements.

Pats has great stuff. them & BX expanded. thats who my super toothbar is by.

Seems like there is a standard...
I'm gonna make mine 26 3/4" side to side (short measurement on the pins) and 15" top to bottom (C to C on the pins)

    Great pik!

You all are so fast with pic inserts! All of you must be pretty com savvy.

But MTgirl just rules that stuff, so quick. It's like she has it all on standby to post.

Hope to have a new toy for this section Thurs.

Got the mower working. New blades and removed the mulching kit. Worked good for the weeds. Did SOME of the pasture and it did pretty good. Some spots are like 3 feet at least though.

Absolutely hate all of these foxtails.
