A decent midsize inverter generator would be ideal for freezer/refrigerator use, MUCH quieter and cleaner power smoother sine wave VS the saw tooth square wave that normal “neighbor hater” loud generators put out. Inverter generators also tend to be more fuel efficient.
Fuel consumption on LP will be about 25% higher as LP doesn’t make as much power per gallon. If you’ve got a 250-500gal tank at the ready that wouldn’t be an issue for several days with a 9kw gen set, even better if you had natural gas to the house.
I have a 3500w Preditor inverter gen from Harbor Freight, so far it’s been fabulous, runs both a freezer and a fridge. I have a smaller 2000w suitcase Preditor I use on my work van for fans and charging batteries, using it to power a heat gun or a coffee maker makes it angry, but it does the job.

Ok gravity fed runs like normal, I replaced all the fuel lines when I bought it but I did blow them our as you suggested, put back to normal and its still surging, the flow from the pump does seems slow. I did check the fuel cut off solenoid on the carb and found that the plunger had been removed by a previous owner. Ordered a new fuel pump and cut off solenoid that should arrived Monday, hopefully its just that basic.
Does a bypassed fuel cut off solenoid really stop the engine from backfiring when its turned off?

The reason is to keep fuel from flowing into the carb float area. The floats can jiggle when the mower is on a trailer going to next job. When the float jiggles, it lets raw fuel into the carb. It's not getting burnt, so that extra fuel goes into the engine and dilutes the oil.

It's second function is to reduce back firing when you shut off the engine.

Realized the gas I was using was 87 ethanol free. Found another semi local gas station that has 90. It should work better in my saws and leaf blowers

    I'm confused.

Is the 90 octane ethanol free as well?

Ive never noticed small engines run better or worse on 87 vs 90 octane.

For that matter, if you are using such small quantities, the extra cost is not really an issue.

Yeah, 90 is ethanol free as well. Figure the higher octane is more beneficial in the 2-stroke chainsaws and leaf blowers. Husqvarna premix fuel is 95 octane.

My Echo 2-cycle weedeater, blower, and chainsaw all call for 89 octane. The manuals say ethanol is ok.

I picked up a Champion dual fuel 2000 off Amazon for $450 back in 21. Called Champion to make sure they would warranty it if I had issues. They said with Amazon they would have all the info and it would be covered. 2000 watt gas, 1750 on propane. I got about 30 hours on a 20 lb BBQ tank and 10 hours on a gallon of gas. I bought it after the big Texas freeze up left us without power for 3 days mostly to run CPAP's, charge batteries and some tools.

Hard starting on propane, gas is a 2 pull affair so I just put a cup of gas in it, start it and switch it to propane. Then when I am through I switch back to gas and let it run dry.

Runs basically everything but heat pump and oven. Been thinking about adding oven to it. Since hot water is propane.

I would think 8K should be plenty to run the whole house at the same time. I would wire everything in and if it was close I would just be mindful to not run the highest wattage items at the same time.

So we live very rural. My water pump pressure tank, Rennai propane water heater, water filter, washer and propane dryer, deep freeze all in the garage, heated and cooled with 9000BTU mini-split and we fit both Tacoma and Forester in there too. Propane on that side is fueled by a 120 gal. tank. Other side propane fire place for extra/emergency heat, gas stove, weber gas grill on 250 gal. tank.
My internet is thru the electric co. fiber optic, this year in Jan. will be 2 years with internet. When we call 911 they ash what state and county do you live in? I pay fire/rescue taxes in another county and have to call local sheriff if law enforcement is needed. (811 is a faster response). Nearest hospital is 45 mins. away fastest time.
:rofl::rofl:When we say we're going to town we mean it.

Cookeville is a tad over an hour to the NE of me or about 45 miles as the crow goes. Murfreesboro is a bit closer, 10 miles or 25 min to the west.
