whale of a day today. started out on the road at 630am. headed up to Zanesville (2hrs) to look at a equipment trailer.
had a good trade going with a guy. nice young fella. great trailer. Guy got something he wanted & that i had several of. Both of us were happy all the way around.

the trailer is a fantastic 6x14. 12k rated. dual axle with brakes on both axles. surge brakes. spare holder & spare included.
this was a HD rental trailer & wasnt used much. its not bent or bimbled anywhere. only thing i can find is a plastic fender mount that needs new bolts. got all the stickers off of it. get that fender remounted & a little touch up paint next week on a warm day & shes good to go!

as to how it pulled? this was a sweet puller! honestly forgot it was back there a couple times on the curvy roads. its almost 1K lighter than my trailer & its a good bit narrower, not to mention OAL of 19' vs 25' on my hydro tilter.

this is what i was after. something a bit smaller/lighter/narrower. and to be able to haul rock/dirt/sand or what not on it.
my other trailer is capable... its just overkill that you dont need.

the plan was to sell the hydro tilter now as its a proper car hauler with winch & so on. the minute i got in the driveway, my wife said: i dont like it as well as the other one. keep them both "just in case". sigh.

the idea was to get a smaller footprint, free up some space & free up some cash as the car hauler is still worth a good bit. nope. she wants to wait & see if SHE likes how this trailer works for me.

then she says: now where will you put it? it cant set on the driveway with the other one. hide it somewhere behind the barn or woods.

well it was gonna take up less room on the driveway than the one that is there......... but nooooo .... boss lady has to have it her way.

another great day of retirement action. LOL

got home & dogs were crazy because they dont like me leaving for long at all. everybody sniffed the new trailer, barked at it everytime they went outside & so on.

tomorrow will bring getting that other side of the building done. i hope.

most of that is picture angle. look at the dead on side pic. its not nearly as far back as the angled pix makes it seem.

they are not center mounted like my car hauler. most of these purpose built trailers are this way. you park the mini ex over the axles & that lets you set the bucket right in the triangle up front. gives it perfect balance & tongue weight. This is supposed ot make the surge brakes work more effectively. these are also the sway style axles. this is also supposed to be at the correct spacing for american road sections.

MMDI & Pratt do this with all of their equipment trailers. (this is a Pratt)

and here is a smaller version from them... same thing axle space wise.

A couple of rear window decals...
For most things it would be, but Skid Steers and other rear engine machines like them are ass heavy machinery. So it balances out.

Could use some advice from the crowd. I've got a front-mount snowblower on our kioti sub-compact. Part of the mount for the snowblower got tweaked last winter. It was really difficult to get the hitch off this spring, and I'm sure it won't go together well for winter like it sits. What's the best way to go about trying to straighten this? Put a pipe on there and give 'er?
    Here's the mount.
    IMG_5967.jpg IMG_5966.jpg

A long pin/rod goes through the pipe and tabs on either side of the frame:
    IMG_5971.jpg IMG_5972.jpg

With a straight edge showing the tweak:

Hello fellow Howler!! (Kioti owners are called Howlers for those of you who dont know this)

you might be able to move that back over with a big cheater pipe.

it really shows up with the straight edge.

if you can heat it up first would probably help.

    This was my 1st thought^.

Even a handheld propane torch will heat that red hot if you have a new 1 lbs. can. Just takes some time.

Once red hot, it becomes " plastic". At that point, put a pipe bigger in diameter than the existing pipe over it and bend it to straight .

    Please report back.

I just noticed you have a loader. Chain it and use the loader to straighten it after heating. You might want a second person to watch as you apply tension.
