They really dont cost that much & the price vs rent or destruction on your body made it an easy decision after my wife saw the results.

Think this WG24 was 2k when got it..... paid for itself the first dozen stumps.
depending on diameter/size its 100-250 per stump in my area.

i ran it on my Kubota B2601 for the first year, then moved it over to the larger tractor for more weight.
they say as long as you have 20hp @PTO its plenty.

Man then you & your neighbor could get your money out of it real quick & then when your done with it? Sell it & get even more money back!

trick with this grinder is not getting too heavy on it. small bites & let the grinder "grind" its way thru.. back up & get another pass. lather, rinse, repeat until its a hole in the ground then fill & back drag. :)

if you are in a hurry? then try a different day. rushing it causes you to always get too much bite vs grind. happens to me all the time until i settle down & realize there is no better place to be than on that tractor with my headset/tunes on. THEN it all comes together.

Those of yall who don't have a covered area to store a zero turn in and are using a zt cover, do you get condensing buildup under the cover after it rains hard? I live in New Orleans so admittedly humidity is a constant here.
Its annoying that when I use the zero turn I need to uncover it an hour or so before I use it, I am considering getting just a engine cover and leaving the rest open but it rains so hard here that feels semi neglectful.

I definitely want a 1.5 car garage and 2.5 car covered area for storage when I have a house.

I see condensation on my tractors when it’s humid/raining and they stay in the shed. I can only imagine it’s worse in areas like where you live.

I’d keep it covered if it were me.

THIS ^^^^^^^^ all my stuff under the lean to gets condensation & when it gets really humid/hot outside? my stuff inside the shop will sweat.
have to keep the mill, lathe & press all oiled or they will rust from it.

My neighbor ask me to work on her mower, it has a B & S 20hp twin with a broke push rod.

    upload_2024-1-17_7-28-51.jpg

Surprisingly it still runs but has a loud exhaust leak. I'm assuming head gasket is the only way since the exhaust valve is stuck shut.

I did a search on the internet and found this is a common problem with these engines. They get an oil leak and the grass and dust covers the cooling fins on the head thus making the aluminum swell faster than the steel valve guide and the valve guide slides out causing the valve to not move and the weak link breaks, the push rod.

That is exactly what happened to this one.

You can see the guide backed out on the bottom valve, the exhaust.

    Time for a new head?

I always wondered if there was a way to pin the guides from moving?

I'm not sure if the head is toast or not, I'll get it off in the next day or two and see.

What I read is you can take the guide out and add a set screw. I guess you just seal the set screw after reassembly.

The B & S engine listed above has me thinking.

These engines are all over the place for sale. Usually the riding mower body is wore out long before the engines.

I need to find out what voltage regulator is used when these engines are used to power a ZT.

When installed in a rider, they use a VR that supplies A/C to run the headlights. Also these VR don't play well with the electric clutches on a ZT. The riders don't have electric clutches, so there is not much need to have a big amp supply.

    Sooooo? TLDR

If anyone has a ZT with a B & S twin, I need to find out the part number for the voltage regulator.

If I can remember I'll measure the crankshaft too, not sure what size it is.

    I think it is as well. Aren't most ZT's 1 1/8"?

I can’t find any good used tractors and am thinking about jumping in on financing a new one. What would be the smallest kioti that you all would recommend? I have a little over 3acres. Will be using it for driveway work, leveling land for out buildings, tree work(still need to cut down over 60 trees) and working on a mini dirtbike track for the kids.
