Same. Also signed up for a Google Voice account so I can have a "burner" phone number.

Oddly enough, I get zero spam sent to the disposable number.

It's also cool that both my regular number and the GV number ring to my phone.

I haven't tried the Google Voice, I'll have to look into that one. I did create a gmail for the fake name I used for FB. I should probably start using that for a spam account.

Exactly how my work number and cell number work. Old days I had to carry 2 phones. GV gives you lots of options to receive and make calls, VM, all kinds of stuff. Using computer to check VM and calls vs. having to do it on a phone is a huge timesaver and much easier.

I run a computer in my shop. I really like being able to text from my PC. I have a cheap wireless keyboard that I type on regardless of my hands is filthy. I rarely touch the laptop keyboard. The laptop is surprisingly clean after 3 years.

With GV, I can text from my PC . Texts and calls come to the phone as well as the PC.

got it in the 3rd week after paying it off. Had called and asked before that last payment what the final was on it. They said its 246 & some change & that they would process the BOS as soon as the payment cleared. They didn't do a "title". Just BOS with a PIF on it.

No clue how my seat tore, hadn't even caught a briar on it, but has 2 splits in it. Gonna recover it with some vynil... Just gotta stop being lazy.

I didn't think to call them. I tried logging into the website, but it says "We can't seem to find your account".

YEP that means they already closed you out. You can still call em & check on the status of it though with your account number.

Or you can chat em if ya don't wanna call.

If you paid any extra as you went? They probably owe you a few bucks.

It was a zero percent loan. So there wasn't any incentive to pay anything extra, my last payment was the same as the first. If I haven't received the BOS by the EOM I'll call and bug them for it. I just wanted to get an idea of the process with someone who had been through the same ordeal recently.

My tractor didn't come from the factory with a loader, tractor is a 1993, loader is a 1999. I'm going with sand for vibration purposes, I made my dad a roll bar/canopy years ago and it vibrates awful at certain low to mid RPM's.

I don't think sand would be much of a counterweight on this one anyways, it does have double rear wheel weights and 100 gallons of fluid on each side for weight

I bought a new wood splitter a couple weeks ago (on sale, $300 off at TSC), wanted one I could stand up and also on wheels so I can move it with the 4 wheeler.

My old one, I converted from a Troy-Bilt tiller and added an engine. I told my wife I felt like I could get $400 out of it. I put it on marketplace for $550, guy messaged me Sunday and said "I'll give you $400 cash on Tuesday". I said come get it, he came yesterday and got it.

I cranked it, it smokes a little on start up, I told him it would quit in a few seconds, he said "I cut you so bad on the price it don't matter" :D

    I converted this......

    upload_2024-4-10_8-18-37.jpg

    To this.....

    upload_2024-4-10_8-19-23.jpg

    Sold that after buying this.....

    upload_2024-4-10_8-28-56.jpg

Then made a wing on one side to hold wood and protect the gas tank from falling wood.....

I have the same splitter and it has seved me very well. I also made my own wood stand out of some scrap PT wood lying around. My only other MOD was to add a longer handle which was just an old copper pipe. Helps me being taller and not having to reach as far when operating the ram.

I've also learned if the vent for the hydraulic fluid is down hill it leaks fluid when using. I had one years ago I made an extension for so it wouldn't leak. Our ground isn't level and I don't want to have to focus on where the vent is when using it.

Thanks for the info about the handle, I may have to do that to this one

you may have just solved my leaking issue. was it leaking from the tank vent or the block itself?

my buddy had that issue when he borrowed it. Mine leaks out of the plastic screw cap on the block itself.

    KR,
Yeah mine was 0/60.... But made a few extra paymen ts along the way when had some OT at work.

Was trying to make less expenditures to go out during retirement & my 60 wouldn't have ended until further into retirement.

Thought 3rd week was pretty good turn around time. You will probably get it soon along with that flyer about now go buy something else & use us! :)

on the sand in pipe topic ive also heard of diesel guys having sand loaded in drivelines. apparently it helps prevent candy cane when getting real rowdy.

    Makes sense, can’t compress sand.

yeah it does. seems spooky spinning that much more weight though. any carrier bearing or u-joint now gets the full stress. guess im in the clear being too poor for a diesel.
